Sub Contractor to Al Futtaim Carillion for 20 Million AED Fit Out Package
Project Manager for a Fit Out subcontractor on 2 towers at Burj Development for Emaar. I am overseeing 250+ onsite staff plus co-ordination with the factory, design, production, purchasing, QA/QC, HSE and sub contractor labour. My duties include:
• Overseeing all project activities from award to final completion and handover.
• Design co-ordination between client and design team
• Site meetings regarding Progress, HSE and Approvals.
• Weekly Progress reports, KPI’s, schedules, manning.
• Co-ordination/monitoring of shop drawings, material samples and all project documentation.
• Allocation of Engineer, Supervisor work scopes. Allocation of resources.
• Commercial & Contractual issues.
• Liaison with subcontractor labour supply, approval of timesheets and output.
Part of Project Management team for Main Contractor AIG.
I initially worked alongside the Contracts Manager to contract the Subcontractors dealing with pre-qualifications, samples, factory visits and evaluations. From project start on site I was responsible for the co-ordination of the 28+ subcontractors (600 men on site), project documentation and design issues. The second phase of the project was a Design and Build scope (110million AED); I took over the role of Design Manager and worked closely with architects, designers and all relevant trades to provide an approved design suitable for the project within budget and specification. On successful completion of the project I managed the DLP period closing out all project documentation, approvals and snags.
• Design & Build Manager of Phase 2 of Project. - Offices, Gyms, Cafeteria’s, Nursery, Prayer Rooms, Breakout Areas, Wellness Area’s, Security Room and Elect/Mechanical Rooms
• Proficient at Co-ordination between Client, Main Contractor, & Sub Contractors (28+) and all site activities
• Ability to interface and work with clients in a professional manner to achieve project goals
• Co-ordination of design drawings, shop drawings and site activities including all finishes (Timber, Glass, Marble etc), MEP, HVAC, BMS, Security & CCTV
• Provide technical direction and assign work to Engineers, Designers and sub contractors
• Ability to critically review project documentation (drawings, calculation and specifications) at all design stages from concept to construction and provide valuable design input and direction
• Experience of Local Authority Permits for Civil Defense, Tecom, Dewa etc
• Completed the Snagging & DLP of projects including As-Built, O&M Manuals Health & Safety Files and all project completion works
I was overseeing sub contractor Abu Dhabi Pipe Factory for installation of GRP Reticulation Pipe work, valve chambers, BMS etc. I carried out work inspections, reviews and co-ordination meetings. Due to the cancelation of Maritime City I was transferred to the above project.
Design Engineer involved in all aspects of design for the integration of existing plant and control room into a new control system with the latest in control technology and safety systems. I carried out site surveys and produced design packs based on the required scope from preliminary design to construction packs.
Home and Nightclub Design & Build Projects from £50, 000 - £500, 000. Interior Fit Outs and Sound System Installation. I worked closely with interior designers, operational staff and sound installation designers to provide designs within budget and specification.

Achievements:
I successfully completed a £500, 000 refit of a prestigious Nightclub/bar within budget and for a predetermined opening date. I worked closely with the designers and implemented my experience to provide a forward thinking and innovative design.
