• Review of Contract Documents & understanding the scope and electrical technical requirements for the projects.
• Experience of Electrical Engineering, Construction and Procurement activities in Oil and Gas projects.
• Ensure of all electrical equipments and its design documents complies with relevant codes, standards, and
project specifications.
• Detailed design of power distribution system, cable sizing, MV & LV switchgears, motor control center, lighting,
lightning protection system, grounding system, electric heat tracing, lighting illumination calculations, tray layouts,
etc.
• Preparation of all the detailed Engineering documents such as Electrical design basis, Electrical Specification and
Data Sheet for various Electrical equipments like Transformer, HV/LV Motors, MV/LV Panels, UPS, HV/LV
Cables, Navigation System, Aviation warning lights & Bulk Materials.
• Preparation of the electrical calculations to finalize electrical equipment rating and specifications like Electrical
load list, Transformer sizing, Diesel Generator sizing, HV/LV Cable sizing, Earthing calculation, UPS sizing &
Switchboard sizing, Lighting calculation(Using Chalmlite Software) and lightning protection calculation.
• Procurement Engineering activities - Preparation of MR, carry out technical evaluation of Bids, Bidder technical
correspondences, Vendor Document reviews, etc.
• Preparation of material requisitions and technical bid evaluations for electrical equipments and electrical Bulk
MTO for EPC projects.
• Preparation of Electrical equipment list, Ex. Register, Electrical Cable schedule and drum schedule.
• Assists the designers for the preparation of following deliverables like single-line diagram, control schematics,
electrical substation room layout, cable block diagram, typical installation drawings, power layout, lighting and
small layout, cable cellar layout for substation, cable routing layout for plant and buildings, cable trench layout,
earthing layout, lightning protection layout, and interconnection drawing.
• Participation in Project review meeting and review of IDC documents.
• Co-ordination with inter-discipline, Vendor & Client throughout the project,
• Creates drawings and document register to ensure all deliverables are accountable and completed on time.
• Participate in the 3D model review meeting with the client for 30%, 60%, and 90%.
• Co-ordinate with other disciplines during all stages of design development, construction, pre-commissioning and
start-up.
• Site surveys and design checks for cross-verification of drawings and tie-in point Locations.
• Knowledge of various switchyard scheme systems from 132 kV to 400 kV.
