Key Result Areas:

•Managing end-to-end projects (including all construction, renovation, refurbishment and maintenance activities) encompassing planning, design, estimation, scope definition, finalization of techno-commercial aspects and implementing quality standards
•Reviewing, commenting & approving method statements, material transmittals, prequalification and shop drawings submitted by subcontractors
•Verifying & validating the works done as per approved drawings; installing the components as per the design in accordance with projects’ environmental conditions & applications; resolving site queries to meet execution requirements; understanding technical & functional specifications
•Allocating tasks & defining clear timelines for the completion of each task; monitoring task completion, providing assistance to deliver the project in time; formulating effective time management plans
•Anchoring on-site activities to ensure completion of project within the time & cost parameters and effective resource utilization
•Driving a team of Multi-disciplinary Professionals (Mechanical/Electrical Managers) and liaising with Construction Team & Sub-contractors to ensure activities are in line with the project committed dates
•Coordinating with external agencies for techno-commercial discussions, changes required in the tender / contract documents, cost estimates, including billing, variation / deviation proposals, claims, and so on
•Ensuring adherence to the defined safety standards of the organization for design and equipment specifications
•Administering final systems handing over by following up with relevant S/Cs in terms of installation, testing, commissioning, certifying, training and delivering in accordance with the project specifications and approved drawings
•Preparing their scope of work and the contract agreements along with site selection, concept and feasibility assessments and the production of basic design packages for new projects in terms of outlays & profits
•Guiding cross-functional teams to manage various project works; supervising matters pertaining to local statutory bodies, architects, and process technologists to troubleshoot customer issues
•Ensuring Civil “Structural Works” are in compliance with requirements pertaining to the Permit Section as & where they are executed and verify in line with regulations
•Coordinating with the local authorities for permits and NOC’s
•Maintaining coordination with consultants, contractors and clients; conducting rate analysis of cost schedule of rate/ extra items as per prevailing market prices; coordinating for certification of Contractor Bills and with the Finance Dept. for release of payment
•Preparing documents for invitation of bids for projects including specifications, finalization of requirements & BOQ; negotiating reviewing and awarding contracts as per contract regimes
•Estimating preliminary cost for construction and upgradation; inviting evaluating proposals & appointing contractors
•Checking & monitoring material quality received from vendors/ suppliers; addressing issues related to subcontractors’ quality in execution of the work
•Supervising Quality Management Systems across various stages of procurement to reduce rejection levels and ensuring high quality standards in construction by maintaining Documentation & Data Management
•Implementing QA/ QC procedures; conducting Audits & various inspections; ensuring the structures are in compliance with pre-defined structural as well as architectural specifications
•Maintaining & reviewing general contract/tender and subcontract / suppliers documents and ensuring all contractual documents are dealt appropriately
•Developing network with Client, Architects, Consultants, Vendors, Subcontractors, Consultants-architectural, Structural, Sanitary, Electrical, Interior Designers and Suppliers for ascertaining technical specifications, construction related essentials, based on the prevalent rules, codes and aesthetical considerations

Description: Construction of an under-ground substation with pile foundations. Secant Pile is used for the shoring with French-drain system for continuous de-watering for the project. The station consists of three basements of 20m deep in total from the ground level. Intact water-proofing system with the injection hose system for any water seepage/leakage in future. Transmission of power from 132KV to 11KV which includes 11kv GIS switchgear bldg, 132KV GIS switchgear bldg, Transformer Yards, Fire Pump Room, Fire water Tank, Capacitor Banks, Condensing Units, Air handling units, Control Rooms, and Cable Basements.
