Re-developed and managed the Group’s Taxi Workshops to support a fleet of 2200 taxis and Retail Auto Service Centers in 3 physical locations and a team of around 100 personnel post relaxation of COVID-19 restrictions. I had direct reports to The Executive Director. Re-deployed approx. 900 idle taxi units in both fleets till date cost effectively and systematically. Achieved Break-Even in two months from assignment in retail service centers and gradually expanded the service centers’ range of services to external clients and improved revenues. Conducted multiple in-house trainings and improved efficiency and competency of productive personnel and enhanced soft skills of supervisory and reception staff. Considerably reduced vehicle down times. Ensured highest levels of safety standards with ZERO INCIDENTS since taking charge. Improved overall efficiencies of the workshops and significantly reduced operating costs. Achieved dramatic cost savings in annual fleet maintenance costs of both taxi companies and also registered healthy sales in retail services unit. Developed multiple supplier channels. Spearheaded the COVID-19 vaccination drive and registered “100% Vaccination” in the assigned divisions. Rendered expertise and made full and final preparations for getting 24 Al Arabia Auto Services ISO Certified. Devised and commissioned a smart repair estimation system on an external platform. Additionally managed Facilities and workshop equipment maintenances across the group’s workshops and accommodations.

Substantiated revenues by implementing mechanisms to recover unaccounted damage costs from clients and successfully recovered excess of AED. 700K from these during my tenure. Managed the operation of the mobile service vehicle. Implemented best practices and improved overall work efficiency and work atmosphere. Planned and Commissioned workshop expansion by commissioning their Al Quoz Workshop Operations. Functioned as process owner in Orion J11 ERP implementation for workshop operations.

Effectively managed maintenances of a fleet of 6, 000 units. I had exceeded the management’s expectation of 96% fleet utilization and maintained the same at 98% and above. Maintenance planning and methodologies were tweaked well to achieve “1 Million Operated Kilometer Mark”. I had improved and simplified documentation and service checklists and also upgraded the insurance documentations for ease of future reference. I was instrumental in the implementation of Integrated Management System (ISO 9001, ISO 140001 and OHSAS 18001) in the workshops. I had also contributed greatly towards development and implementation of an indigenously In-House developed ERP called FOCAL. I was instrumental in planning and commissioning of workshops in various regions of the UAE. I was among the key planners in the projects of two Mega Workshops, which are currently their Flagship Workshops. A major milestone was achieved when I had commissioned an Engine and Transmission overhaul shop in an unused premises owned by the company and thereby reduced the stresses on the main workshops for these jobs.
