Headed development and implementation of first ever medical service portal for the large medical portfolio of Oman Insurance Company and thus contributed to improvement of insurance service from submission of physical documents to web and mobile process. Headed implementation of web portal for intermediaries and partners for quote and policy issuance of consumer products. Designed and led reinsurance process re-engineering, gap analysis and automation for all line of business with finance as the focal point. Prepared document and presented to senior stake holders including CEO and CFO. The report included process and system enhancements of core systems wherever reinsurance was a touch point.Taken over complex project implementation midway ensuring re-alignment through to successful delivery.
Work directly with different client groups to understand and investigate the existing business systems, identify gaps between business process and existing system functionality. Gauge the relevant business users’ expectations, form the appropriate action items thereby, formally carry out requirements gathering, analyze and propose respective designs and solutions. Cascade requirements into new enhancements to the existing software infrastructure via change requests as small/medium/regular sized projects. Provide estimates, create work-orders and associated project management activities; prepare functional and technical specifications to bridge the business requirements with the use of IT. Work parallel in conjunction with the Development team and act as the SPOC for the clients within the systems development life cycle (SDLC), engage in the development phase, participate in all the project communication, Test Case Preparation, Unit Testing of completed modules, co-ordinate with multiple interdependent teams to accomplish System Testing, Integration Testing, Performance Testing and User Acceptance Testing; carry out release activities and ultimately handover the process to support during production implementation. Create high level, detailed design and perform code reviews.
In the role of senior system analyst I was handling bank’s Document Management System and Signature Verification System. My responsibilities included in the end to end management of the project, from collecting additional requirement, coordinating with vendor and respective technical team, UAT and production implementation.
