Enterprise Solutions - (Support Desk, Junior Citrix Mobility Consultant) While based in our Sandyford office I was responsible for numerous tasks associated with supporting multiple service level agreements. Contracts included managed services, Citrix support and internal systems administration. Customers ranged from large semi-state organisations to small accounting offices. Customers were supported via telephone, remote access software and on-site services. Daily duties included hardware & software installation and troubleshooting, active directory services, 2nd level Citrix support, user account setup and maintenance, PC/laptop imaging, Symantec Endpoint Protection, liaising between 3rd party support and customer management.

Fenergo - (Systems admin 9 months) During my time in Enterprise Solutions I was placed onsite with a FinTech company called Fenergo. On my arrival Fenergo employed 70 staff which had expanded to 120 at the time of my departure. While there I worked with the following technologies: HyperV virtualised environment, MS Office 365, MS Azure (Virtualisation and Backup), MS Data Protection Manager, Visual Studio Team Foundation Server, MS Lync Server 2013 VoIP, Active Directory, Windows Deployment Services, Zendesk (Helpdesk Management Tool). Sophos Endpoint Security. Reporting to CFO, CTO and CEO.

Infrastructure Engineer at Servier (Ireland) Industries

When working in a helpdesk team of 4 Infrastructure engineers and IT Administrators in a busy IT department, I was responsible for coordinating the local IT Helpdesk environment supporting over 400 staff across two sites.
End user issues were logged through a ticketing system. I managed the queue of incoming issues by assessing and diagnosing issues raised and delegating them to the appropriate members of the helpdesk team and to other teams.
I was responsible for support the Windows 7 desktop environment with other applications such as MS Office, MS Outlook, Adobe, AutoCAD and Web/IIS applications.
Using Microsoft SCCM I deployed all desktops and laptops operating systems and applications.
I was the administrator of the backup applications Symantec Netbackup and Backup Exec and was involved in maintaining and troubleshooting the VMware virtual server environment on vSphere5.0, MS Exchange 2010/2003, Windows 2003/2008r2 servers, network issues, telecoms system, hardware installations, active directory admin, printer maintenance and the local ERP environment running on JDEdwards.

During my time as an IT Engineer in Datapac I was involved in many different areas and technologies including the Managed print helpdesk and printer installation, diagnosing customer issues and providing remote support for Servers, PC, laptops and various other peripherals.
I was also involved in supporting the complete Microsoft operating system range, imaging PC’s, running backups and testing new Equipment.
I also spent some time coordinating warranties and repairs for Datapac’s gold partner, HP, and working scheduled periods on Datapac’s internal helpdesk, managing calls and logging them through the Ulysses CRM suite
