Working as a consultant for the Tandem Energy/KD Energy operations supervising drilling, Completions and
Workovers in the Batson, Texas, Ganado, Texas, and Freer, Texas fields
Work on an as needed basis.
Head of Operations for three drilling rigs and two completion/ workover rigs and all support equipment.
Rigs range from 4500 feet to 11500 ft. drilling in Texas, Louisiana and New Mexico. Company is currently under contract to be sold.
Started work in the Marcellus Shale project frac operations, Workover and completions, frac, fishing operations and the abandonment program. Transferred to the South Texas Eagleford operations, working as Completions foreman in Snubbing, Coil tubing and workover rig operations. Also working as relief Field Superintendent.
Acted as completion field superintendent consultant in North Dakota Bakken field and then was transferred to the North Texas operation in the Barnett shale project. Duties included day to day operational co-ordination for service rigs, and fracing crews. Also accountable for dealing with service companies, mobilization and cost control.
One year contract as the Department Head for Drilling, Workovers & Completions. Duties included engineering and supervision for (2) drilling rigs, (6) service rigs, and (3) crane units being used for rod jobs and pump changes. Writing programs for horizontal drilling, completions well intervention. In charge of the CAPEX program to bring shut in production wells back on line from water and/or high GOR shut offs. All fishing, coil, testing, fracturing and wireline operations. Also developed the services tender process and was involved with the tender board evaluations. I was on the team for all CAPEX and OPEX budgets and work both in operations and the drilling and workover group.

Thirty-eight years of experience on and offshore, moving up as an independent drilling and completions consultant as well as operations management and owning/ working a drilling and completions company. Extensive experience in all cased-hold operations using service, drilling and coil-tubing rigs. Highly-knowledgeable in coil tubing and snubbing operations. Highly knowledgeable in fracturing operations. Different Hydro fracturing operations include Swell packer fracing, Plug and Perforation fracing, Slickwater fracing, Nitrogen and CO2 fracing. Very experienced drilling and completing vertical, horizontal under balanced, directional and slant wells throughout the world. Program writing, well intervention. Cost projections, Services tendering processes and evaluation, well analysis. Diverse knowledge of many types of mud systems such as potassium sulfate, calcium sulfate, silicate, oil and diesel based invert systems, gel/ basic chemical mud. Extensive HPHT and thermal knowledge. Experienced in Coal bed methane and shale gas plays, drilling and completions. Open hole and cased hole fishing and recovery experience. Experienced with re-entry's, workovers, and completions, directional drilling, MWD, cementing, downhole tools, well treatment programs, completion design and programming, Equipment sizing and installation of well site facilities equipment. Competent with all reporting programs and computer programs.
Commercial Diving, Underwater Welding, NDT, Commercial Gas diving certificate
2 year course on Earth Resources in year 1 and elective to Petroleum Technology in year 2.
