Responsible for project conceptualization and delivery of strategic integrated transport planning and policy projects (currently four in parallel) for the Minister's Office and Technical Affairs Department with overall accountability including proven track record of timely and successful completion within budget.
Develop strategies and supporting policies to ensure the planned integrated public transport system Qatar is able to achieve world-class performance standards.
Leading the development & implementation of a National Unified Transport Data Analytics Platform and related Performance Management System that will measure the effectiveness and the quality of the service delivered by the various individual transit agencies, as well as the satisfaction of the customers.
Successfully formulated, completed and received approval for the development and implementation of the National Qatar Public Transport Program Strategy (QPTP) and Qatar Transport Resilience Program including developing the individual codes of practice and multi-modal resilience plan framework.
Developed several project scope of services identified under the QPTP Strategy and managing the bids and their execution after obtaining successful approval of budget from the Finance ministry based on the project budget requirements.
Lead various travel modelling activities (network coding, model calibration and validation), analyze model inputs and outputs and check their accuracy and soundness; and develop road and public transit forecasts for regional and corridor analyses.
Lead the testing of the impacts of different transportation and land use scenarios and policies on Qatar transportation system and strategies using cost benefit analysis models and others.
Preparing RFPs as required and leading the review and assessment of submitted bids.
Act as a key focal contact for many project related stakeholder engagement.
Work with consultants and approve contractor/consultant invoices against contract payment schedule.
Represents MoTC in various inter-ministerial stakeholder committees and also organizes several stakeholder meetings for the MoTC.
Interface with consultants on a variety of model development and data collection studies, surveys and tasks and provide technical feedback on their work.
Perform supervision tasks needed to maintain, update & enhance Qatar transportation model and in building the relevant database and GIS systems.
Manage the technical and administrative issues related to the process of exchanging Qatar transportation model database, inputs and outputs in between Ministry of Transport and internal and external entities as needed.
Participate in conducting and reviewing various strategic transportation and land use studies and activities (including transportation master plans and traffic impact studies) as relevant to the modelling issue.
Participate in investigating the different impacts of transportation and travel decisions.
Transport model forecasting and analysis - including strategic demand modelling, network wide operational modelling, and micro-simulation modelling
Development of transport and engineering solutions and recommendations for reducing congestion
Appraisal of metro station urban integration plans - walking, cycling, buses, metro and LRT.
Sequencing and phasing of land and marine public transport infrastructure works.
Present reports and technical information to a variety of audiences as needed.

Leading in testing of different future land use planning scenarios and testing of various highway network and PT network schemes (including park and ride options) as part of Qatar’s Transport Master Plan in VISUM
Leading the development of a regional transport “operational” model aimed in assessing the implementation of various temporary traffic measures during the construction of the metro lines (overall length 300km) and the expressways (overall length 900km) in VISUM and SATURN
Interaction with stakeholders such as Qatar Rail, FIFA, ministries and other consultants by provide them with sound traffic analysis and recommendations to progress with their work
Attend meetings along with the transport advisor on discussions related to strategic demand modelling improvements, land use and network supply with the ministry’s traffic planning department
Provide support to the traffic manager on transport planning and engineering activities including managing small task oriented teams
Key author for various reports related to the above functions.
Main clients: Qatar Rail, Ministry of Municipality and Urban Planning, Ashghal, Qatar Supreme Committee 2022, consultants such as KBR, etc.

Go-to guy for key projects and successfully delivered master plans and its subsequent transport models using various transport modelling packages in a timely and efficient manner
Consistently generated high level of client and approval agency satisfaction
Prepared the analysis files and conducted project specific analysis of junctions and roads including testing of mitigation measures
Managed teams for different traffic related projects, planned and organised project activities including allocation of staff resources, meetings and surveys and monitored project expenditure for own projects ranging from $30K to $500k in revenue, in a timely and profitable manner
Authored reports for clients and authorities
Represented the team and attended face-to-face meetings with clients and authorities
Worked directly with the director in identifying future prospect bids, business development and preparing various proposals. Delivered successful transport proposals, generated over $700K of new revenue
Coordinated discussions between client and other stakeholders and provided training for client staff and other stakeholders
Conducted in-house training sessions on using different traffic modelling tools
Quality champion for the team and created, maintained and updated the quality procedure for the transportation group
