Technically validates the incoming Services Requests for new/change/disconnect orders for customers for GPON & P2P products.
•Support in the development of the fiber numbering methodology and procedure.
•Prepare work order estimate for splicing with technical detailed drawings for the proposed & existing network plants of the company and issue to the Contractors for project implementation and execution.
•Planning & Updating Fiber-to-the-Home (FTTH) Multi Services Access & Transport Network using design tools like Telecordia-GIS, Network Engineer 5.
•Responsibility for readiness of SQL databases for new towers and compounds.
•Audit exercise for revenue assurance. Ensuring all RFS connections are captured in OMS (Zoho). Ensure data accuracy and quality in Zoho.
•Make sure customer information is captured and logged correctly in Zoho by liaising with Service Desk.
•Compare site handler and Zoho databases to identify gaps and ensure correct information is captured and remove any bad entries, duplications, KID mismatches, missing customer address information (villa numbers etc.) by contacting vendors.
•Support Sales team queries for GN and Special Projects by issuing manual work orders (assigning Splitter, Ports, ODF and Fibers) to O&M in order to fulfil customer provisioning
Plan & Design Wired-line Outside Plant (OSP) and Inside Plant (ISP) of FTTH Network utilizing the Point-to-Multi Point Gigabit Passive Optical Network (GPON) for the provision of info-communications services, Triple Play (voice, video, data) within designated exchanges.
•Planning & Designing Fiber-to-the-Home (FTTH) Multi Services Access & Transport Network using design tools like Network Engineer 5.
•Challenge and critically review the contractors/ vendors designs to ensure that the low-level design provides the best balance between cost, feasibility and time to market.
•Coordinate with other sections for the work progress and project status to ensure that service can be provided without delay and taking appropriate corrective actions within target time.
•Conduct the type approval test, acceptance test, and ready for service test for the OSP/ISP.
•Consistently plan project timetables and costs, manage schedules of contractors and collaborate with senior management to achieve the desired design requirements.
•Provide solution for all open implementation issues at worksite with the contractors.
•Design of Network diagram, preparation & validation of proper documents and monitor that all works are carried out in accordance with guidelines, practices, procedure and technical specifications.
•Conduct Site survey as necessary to monitor the performance and asses required material, manpower and time frame in order to deliver the site with the budgetary requirements.
•Provide solution for implementation issues at work site with the subcontractor.
•Review the reports prepared by subordinates and prepare relevant reports with respect to site activities and achievements and submit to Manager.
•Maintain weekly and daily reports and escalate pending issues to the Manager.
•Make sure that proper red markup is received and update the Network drawings as per actual installation at site (As-Built Drawings) which will be helpful in further reference for modification/up gradation
Check and Analyse technical specification (Contractual scope and Customer satisfaction) and follow if in all design activities.
•Conduct site surveys to assess site situations and obtain sufficient data to carry out the design works. Propose suitable technical solutions as per site condition.
•Design the network and Prepare design drawings according to planning and specifications.
•Coordinate with Consultant for project planning and implementation.
•Selecting material required for the project conform to project requirements and respective standards.
•Respond in real time to field problems related to design, reported by the Erection & Commissioning teams. Issue Internal Modification Request for any modification required in Design Office/Site.
•Conducting FAT (Factory Acceptance Test), reviewing type approval test & acceptance test and making sure service is ready for site installation.
•Make sure that marked up drawings are properly handed over to Design Office after erection and commissioning. Prepare as-built drawings according to marked up drawings and taking into consideration all comments from clients.
