Lead, Direct and Support a team of QA/QC Engineers for all kinds of site activities, Documentation
and coordination with the Client Representative.
Perform Quality Audits to subcontractors as per ISO standards based on the subcontract
agreements.
Review workflows assigned in Aconex such as Field Design Changes, etc.
Attend the weekly QA/QC meetings with the nominated subcontractors.
Resolve any discrepancies between the completed milestone and quality documentation.
Provide progress information for incorporation into project reports.
Consider the implications of delays in QC as-built turnover documentation and bring to the attention
of the Project Manager.
Supervise the preparation of Inspection Check List / Inspection Test plans and procedures based on
the approved Method Statements.
Attend kick-off meetings with Supplier/Subcontractors at site during start of a new activity at site.
Review Supplier/Subcontractor Fabrication/Certification Dossiers (as required).
To participate (as required) in management visits/audits to Suppliers and Sub-contractors.
Report promptly to the Project Manager all matters related to quality perspective.
Ensure that all necessary quality records are identified and retained in accordance with client and
regulatory requirements.
Ensure Compliance with the site's health and safety regulations throughout the entire project
Responsible for the entire mechanical construction activity for all the sites in the southern region.
Follow up and coordination with the site engineers regarding any technical issues and construction problems at sites.
Provide complete back office and direct technical support to the site engineers for all sites in the region.
Follow up and close coordination with the nominated subcontractors for work progress and quality.
Monitoring the daily, weekly and monthly reports for the site engineers and the subcontractors.
Attend coordination meetings with the main contractor and consultant for design and construction coordination.
• Reviewing shop Drawings for Mechanical System including but not limited to HVAC, Plumbing & Drainage, Fire Fighting, BMS etc,
• Carrying out daily QA/QC inspections related to services installation,
• Issuing Field (Site) instructions to contractor for any non-conformity with regards to project specification and industry standards,
• Attending meetings with the management to discuss EHS issues, Liaising the site walks with higher management and highlighting the areas of concern,
• Assisting the Resident Engineer in reviewing the shop drawings and other contractor’s submittals
Assist the principal Mechanical Engineer in carrying out engineering design works and related tasks.
Carry out all kinds of engineering calculations of Hydronic Systems, Air Handling Equipments and allied products etc.
Preparation of equipment schedules to be used in the project.
Attend coordination meetings with the architect consultant and advice for design coordination.
Review of Contractor’s submittals including but not confined to shop drawings, Material submittals, Contractors claims, RFIs (Request for Information) and other Technical queries
Pre-Contract Design review, Services Co-ordination, Value Engineering and follow up of MEP Package with potential clients
Supervising/monitoring Building Services Installation for QA/ QC appraisal against project specifications and Industry Standards
Notifying the contractor by raising proper correspondence for any observed quality violation
Monitoring the EHS guidelines’ proper implementation at sites and issuing NCR’s if required.
Checking and verifying progress reports and handling administrative activities in pre and post contract period of the project.
Attending all site meetings to discuss on-going issues related to project quality, cost and time control.
Supervising execution of all kinds of mechanical works i.e. Air-Conditioning, Fire-Fighting, Plumbing and Drainage works.
Carry out engineering design review and highlighting any discrepancies
Coordination with other Engineering Disciplines for the smooth execution of works at site.
Assisting the projects Manager, Supervising the installations and preparing all contract submittals including workshop drawings, material submission etc. for consultant’s review and approval
Monitoring and documenting the construction progress. Keeping accurate daily logs, participating in the progress weekly construction meetings
To Liaise with the Client, Consultant and the Architect.
