- Project management of the water treatment plant in Dubai Waste to Energy project, The plant is designed to provide the Demineralized and Soft water requirements for the Boilers operation.
- Managing various subcontractors and suppliers to design, build and commission the plant.

- Project management of one of its kind project in UAE (Sludge to energy), where I have been managing the design, procurement, construction, commissioning and operation of new plant that produces electrical power from municipal sludge utilizing thermophilic digestion process.

- Managing and leading the commissioning, operation and maintenance of the plant.
- Prepare forecast reports for allocation of resources.
- Validate projects budgets and create estimation execution budgets to match.
- Review the monthly cost control reports and monitor project expenditures compared to budget and forecast.
- Interview engineering resources and train to meet the project targets.
- Review project contractual requirements and technical specifications, forecast risks and address them in advance.
- Prepare contractual letters to consultant, Clients and suppliers when necessary.
- Representing Besix as a partner in joint venture to design, build and construct 30, 000m3/day water treatment plant in Doha.
- Managing resources, equipment planning and deployment.
-Supporting engineering and design and leading the client / consultant technical interface.
- Follow up on progress and take corrective or supportive measures to enhance it.
- Daily, weekly, and monthly reporting to Besix management on progress and project financial status.
- Develop cost control solutions and advise partners to adapt.
-Managing the procurement negotiations with suppliers and subcontractors.
- Leading a team of engineers and draftsmen by coordinating priorities and tasks and validating technical outcomes and drawings.
- Checking and validation of ordered equipment by the mechanical /electrical team, such as but not limited to de-watering equipment, pumps, mixers, compressors, strainers, pipes supports & its accessories.
- Coordinating, managing, and supervising design drawings, P&ID’s, piping GA drawings, civil guidelines and isometrics.
- Coordinating and interfacing between electrical requirements, civil, mechanical and equipment suppliers.
- Preparation of builder’s work drawings (civil guidelines) to civil team to prepare their concrete/ structural drawings.
- Validating and providing design input to process design to assure compatibility of process requirements to actual electromechanical parameters available in the market.
- Design, engineering and procurement of, pumps, blowers, mixers, piping and accessories, all types of project valves, ultrafiltration system, cranes and lifting equipment, all types of project penstocks, dosing skids including dosing pumps and all required valves, and instruments, GRP special design chemical storage tanks.
- Checking & validating, supplier’s offers, drawings and preparing material submittals and method statements.
- Reviewing mechanical & civil drawings and validating the design.
- Preparation and issuing material submittals, and preparation for replies to comments until final approval is granted.
- Representing the contractor in meetings with the client and consultant to discuss and approve material submittals and drawings.
- Representing the contractor in witnessed Equipment FAT testing and preparation of FAT reports and procedures.
- Preparing solutions to complex technical problems and present it to the consultant / client for approval.
- Coordinating with site team, for any related technical issue and provide quick and feasible solutions where necessary.
- Responsible for preparation of status reports, follow-up lists, and progress reports, and submitting the same to the management / client / consultant.
- Prepare plans for the engineering teams, set methods and procedures to achieve targets.
- Devise the engineering deliverables and plan it in accordance with the project technical requirements and timeline.
- Review contracts specifications and conduct take off for projects.
- Review process flow diagrams and derive the process parameters into the mechanical design.
- Design of the mechanical systems for the sewage treatment plants, and desalination plants including; Pipe sizing, Pressure Loss Calculations, and Equipment Sizing and Selection, P&ID’s, mechanical drawings.
- Conduct value engineering, estimation engineering and cost-benefit analysis on projects to ensure best quality and price.
- Issuing and preparation of technical data sheets and specifications for mechanical equipment utilizing manufacturers’ catalogues and relevant international standards.
- Issuing of comparison sheets and nominating best technical & commercial offers.
- Issuing & preparation of technical submittals for the mechanical packages.
- Conduct procurement operation of electromechanical equipment, including negotiating with suppliers, acquiring quotations, preparing comparison sheets, issuing purchase orders, follow up on deliveries with the freight forwarders etc.…
- Management of communications with consultant/client engineers to approve submittals and drawings.
- Preparation of schedules for mechanical works activities covering engineering, procurement and installation at site utilizing Microsoft project.
- Preparation of mechanical works drawings and equipment layout details utilizing available company resources.
- Study of plant civil/electrical drawings to assure their compliance with mechanical requirements.
- Preparation of step by step instructions for inspection, installation, testing and commissioning of the various mechanical equipment.
- Preparation of necessary reports related to mechanical works for company and/or client/consultant use.
- Managing technical design team activities to achieve project objectives within the project constraints.
- Visiting clients to conduct trial installations & offer technical expertise / solutions.
- Being a first line answering service for all customer technical questions.
- Communicating with customers and suppliers to resolve design issues.
Mechanical engineer handling desing, procurement, planning and site supervison for water & waste water treatment plants engineering, procurement and construction activities (EPC).
Graduated with distinction , completed 10 subjects in economy, accounting, operations management , strategy and project management.
Graduated with a good grade GPA, and had ranked 10th in the Jordanian unversities acheivement exam which is held yearly for all the engineering students in the country.
