Senior Network Engineer: (Parsons International - Parsons Transportation Group)-
PIDPS Project HIA-MOI - Qatar
Managing execution of HIA (Hamad international Airport Perimeter Intrusion
Detection and Prevention system) Network, including managing the contractors
for the installation of the PIDPS Fiber Network, Field, Distribution and core
switches, electrical, and mechanical. and the daily network. And electrical and
mechanical and civil relate activities, . Reviewing the method statements, Shop
drawings, . Material approval submittals and other documentation to make sure
that it is aligned with the client requirements and standard and Parsons standards.
The documents included hardware, software, electrical, mechanical, civil, and NMS,
and ITSM, and vulnerability assessment .surveillance security camera, thermal
camera configuration and installation documentation. Checking inspection
documents for systems installation for the servers, software, applications,
VMware, virtual machine. And all related aspects. Of PIDPS, Retractable bollard
security system, PSSS (physical security system) and access controllers. Reviewing
electrical design and connection and rack elevations, Grounding. Coordinating
between two contractors for camera and field switches replacement activities.
Drafting KPIs for R&M (repair and maintenance) contractor, and following up his
activities.
Key Responsibilities:
•Manage 35+ departmental projects related to upgrades and new services, mainly including Administration of Cpanel( multi - tenant web hosting environment for hosting 1000 web sites for customers)
•Co-ordinate with outside stake holders from government sectors, regulatory government agency, customers.
•Surveil project process, schedule management, risk evaluation and mitigation and cost evaluation for projects.
•Report the project status to the management and escalate for needed support
• Actively participate in project management course and Microsoft project management in coordination with project owners and stakeholders.
Deliverables:
•Currently reporting to the Senior Manager - Transport & Fixed Access and leading teams with up to 11 resources for operations/support of ISP main systems (UNIX - Solaris) and other system services servers.
•Providing support to clients - individual/business customers regarding issues related to e-Mail/DNS, while assisting corporate IT for their change requests and execution.
•Adjudged as Contact Point for OOREDOO, for contacting RIPE to obtain multiple IP locks for Q-Tel, to be used for Services & customers, in addition to several AS numbers, at the same adding customers subnets in RIPE Database and Managing Qtels Objects in RIPE database.
•Executing multiple (35+ in a year for upgrade, new services, etc.) for the department as well as for planning, evaluating and implementing Network Management (HP OPENVIEW) Project, including NNM, OVSD (service desk), OVPI (performance insight) and Reporter.
•Coordinating the ADSL portal project to provide a single platform for ADSL customers to manage their subscription, domains, and who is information, while implemented the Who-is Server Project.
•Engaged in multiple responsibilities like restructuring of Domain Setup, so that it will be used as CCTLD & for ISP setup as well as plan new caching system Project & evaluation of the vendor offers.
•Directed the team for Design of Disaster Recovery Centre, including the IP/Services design, plan for the tender, negotiation with the vendors, evaluation of the offers, day-to-day execution of the project.
•Assisted the QA, with the team, to conduct technical and financial evaluation of the Network Audit project to audit all Qtel infrastructures, including GSM, ISP, core network, etc.
•Guided the team consisting of Operators and first Line Support for customers services/complain ticket, monitoring/resolving same utilizing HP Open view Ticketing system along with the systems alerts
•Leading the QCV censorship TEAM (Team of 14 Operators), additionally, n censorship of parts of movies that are against the policy applied in Qatar for common morals and anti- religion content, and porno content.
