KAP-1 Project is one of the biggest projects in KSA for Ministry of Interior, it’s a design and built fast track project which consists of 305 projects in all over the Kingdom (Deportation, Police, Immigration, Fire Department, Highway Patrol, etc…) amounting 7.6 Billion Riyals (2 Billions of Dollars), special security buildings. My Main role and responsibilities as Senior Package Technical Manager and Senior Materials Architect are as followings:

1. Assist on developing the conceptual design to meet the full requirement of the Ministry of Interior.
2. Assist on developing all the constructual details and value engineering.
3. Coordination and Follow up with the Engineering Sub-consultant and with our Engineering team / Sub-consultant on the production of the Shop Drawings progress based on the production schedule agreed by both parties.
4. Checking and Commenting on the sub-consultant shop drawings based on our engineering assessment and value Engineering to meet our budget and time frame.
5. Securing the Submittal of the Shop Drawings to the Project Consultant (Khatib&Alami Consultants) and follow it until securing the approvals.
6. Responsible of contacting and coordinating with Material Suppliers/Manufacturer.
7. Coordinating with Procurement and purchasing Department on the best prices between many suppliers.
8. Following with the suppliers on the proposed materials to be submitted.
9. Physically and technically checking the received materials.
10. Assuring the compliance of the material received from the suppliers with the project specification.
11. Preparing the weekly look ahead materials schedule to the consultant.
12. Preparing the material submittal to the consultant.
13. Following up the consultant up to getting the approval.

Senior Architect / Acting Resident Enginer at KEO International Consultant

• Review the contractor's progress and Monitor the work performed, the material incorporated in the work, the materials stored at the site and the contractor's manpower and equipments.
• Attend weekly, monthly and other progress meetings held at the site.
• Identify constraints and recommend corrective measures
• Prepare and transmit all site directions and instructions.
• Review the contractor's value engineering and change order proposals, then prepare recommendations to the CM and designers.
• Assist in negotiations with the contractor regarding the value of claims or changes in schedule.
• Ensure that the executed works are complying with the contract documents and local authorities' regulations.
• Assisting the client to obtain the most competitive quotations from respective subcontractors and suppliers for the P.Sum and P.Cost items.
• Ensure that the contractor is performing all activities according to the project procedure manual.
• Ensure that the contractor is submitting the required project close out documents correctly and getting all required NOC(s) in order to obtain the project final completion certificate and finally, issuing the NOC.
• Reviewing the architectural shop drawings.
• Reviewing the material submittals, prequalification submittals, method statements…etc
• Reviewing the site engineers' comments on the inspection requests.
• Responding to the architectural RFIs.
• Supervising the major architectural activities and Mock-ups.
• Coordination with all trades
• Advise the project control department for the variation orders with full technical support.
• Monitoring the progress of the engineering activities
