NESDB is a public think tank agency that reports to the Prime Ministry.
My role is to prepare studies and collecting data relating to economic and social development. To analyze deliverables of policies and developing programs and prepare an economic reports on it.
I am a member of a technical legal team participating in institutional reform projects related to political, economic and social formalization of institutions.
List of main Programs that I have participated in: i) “Shadow-Economy”, a program supervised by Institution of Liberty and Democracy (ILD) in Peru. Shadow-Economy Program is a research to examine extra-legality and its socio-economic effects on welfare and development, ii) “Anti-Corruption”, a program supervised by the UNDP, iii) “Technology Transfer”, a program supervised by the NEDB, iv) “Political Awareness” a paper suggesting how to activate the political awareness among youth and women in Libya, v) “Transitional Phase”, worked on a presentation among a team in order to set up ideas and implementation concerning the transitional phase in Libya, vi) “Elections and High Electoral Commission”, a member of the legal committee for drafting Elections and High Electoral Commission Laws in Libya, vii) “General National Congress” participated in reviewing and drafting the internal regulation of the GNC and worked on drafting the organizational chart of the Administrative Body of the GNC and viii) “Single Window” workshop for facilitating procedures of trade and transit.
Also, I am a legal consultant for the Central Committee of the Municipal Elections.
- Draft and/or review agreements and contracts of the Company and advice on legal aspects to ensure consistency with applicable laws and regulations.
- Working the Legal department work to insure and confirm that all terms and conditions, commercials terms, finance and tax terms meet the Company’s requirements and comply with local laws.
- Administer Contracts and ensure compliance with the generally accepted Supply Chain Contracts Management function specific administrative procedures and practices.
- Ensure and monitor compliance with Company’s policies, standards and procedures, and contractually assumed obligations.
- Negotiate contract terms and conditions with Suppliers and Subcontractors.
- Contractors and Suppliers management: pre-assessment and auditing the Contractors and Suppliers.
• Follow up litigation procedures started by the client or brought against it in Libya including preparation or review of the client defense and counter procedures.
• Draft and/or review agreements and contracts of the client and advice on legal aspects to ensure consistency with applicable laws and regulations.
• Advise management on the latest legal developments relevant to the client’s activities.
• Review upon request correspondence between the client and public authorities and governmental agencies to ensure coherence with legal requirements.
• Provide legal support and advice to the HR Department on matters related to the application of the labour law and employees' relations.
• Taking care of the client’s Intellectual Property matters in Libya.
