Ajyad chiller plant from 19th of January 2013: • Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and schematics. • Confer with engineers and other personnel to implement operating procedures, resolve system malfunctions, and provide technical information. • Specify system components or direct modification of products to ensure conformance with engineering design and performance specifications. • Familiarity with pipe types, materials and insulations • Ability to perform pipeline installation and maintenance activities • To supervise shop fabrication of pipe spools • To inspect the structural support’s fabrication and erection • To insure pipes are aligned perfectly relative to each other and to other equipment. • Fit-up inspection. • Welding inspection. • NDE test. • Investigate equipment failures and difficulties to diagnose faulty operation, and to make recommendations to maintenance crew. • Discussing and solving complex problems with manufacturing departments, sub-contractors, suppliers and customers; • managing projects using engineering principles and techniques; • Considering the implications of issues such as cost, safety and time constraints; • Working with other professionals, within and outside the engineering sector; • Planning for daily work. • Preparing bill of material (bill of quantity) for different systems as per the approved shop drawings. • Fire fighting system design and installation in accordance with NFPA 13. • Stress analysis calculation for steel structures. • Installation of compressed air system. • Installation of makeup water system. • Installation of side stream filtration system. • Reviewing the design of different systems and adjusting it as per site conditions. • Design of pressure relief valves as per API 520 and 521 handbooks. • Tests all aspects of mechanical components, equipment, and machinery. • Involved in fabrication, operation, application, installation, and/or repair of mechanical products. • Ensure that controlled copies of all relevant codes and specifications are available at Project and being used. • To review and verify that installation procedures are being followed. • Responsible to lead, guide and monitor all activities of Site team. • Responsible to verify installation of mechanical equipment’s as per drawing. • To inspect the Alignment and installation of spool according to isometric drawings. • To verify the material, fittings, flanges, gaskets, valves according to bill of quantities given in isometric drawings. • Adhere to the Company's Safety Procedures and Policies. • Ensuring project compliance to all specifications and approved codes. • Material receiving inspection as per specifications. • Daily meeting with client for hold up and modification work. • To make final inspection of pipe insulation. • To attend meetings with client about project’s preservation.
