- Represent WSP on site (The Royal Atlantis Resort and Residences Project) to review and evaluate the design in development phase with the other assigned consultants to check and ensure there are no discrepancies with the technical aspects or local norms, international standards and DEWA regulations.
- Develop and prepare design sketches and calculations.
- Coordinating with other design disciplines for design integrity
- Responsible to manage the construction process which includes reviewing contractor’s Mechanical/Technical submittals, Shop drawings, Value engineering proposals, Change orders and all related site activities.
- Responsible to attend project engineering meetings to follow up technical and progress activities with the contractor and all related other engineers.
- Review the Contract in terms of Scope of work, Schedules, Areas of concern, Action plans and Co-ordination with various other departments for relevant data.
- Interface with site to resolve site queries, non-conformance reports, drawings and analyse the same with the Engineering, design office as required to arrive at practically feasible solutions at site.
- Responsible to check and ensure co-ordination between discipline-related services works and all other disciplines.
- Review variation orders submitted by the contractor and evaluate the discrepancies that arise between the Contract drawings, Specifications and prepare any appropriate recommendations to be reviewed by the project manager.

Responsibilities:
In this project I had worked for "OHL contracting company" due to agreement between them and SCG my employer at that time. In Sidra Hospital project I was acting as a mechanical site engineer responsible about all site operations in 3rd and 4th floors which includes HVAC, Firefighting and Plumbing Systems as described in the following responsibilities.

- Monitoring and managing subcontractors performance.
- Following up the installation of mechanical systems (HVAC, firefighting and plumbing) onsite until getting approvals from consultant (KEO).
- Developing and maintaining subcontractors engagement plan.
- Confirming that execution on site is complying with the approved shop drawings, specifications, calculations, material submittals and other contract documents.
- Responsible for all site operations which include installation, testing and material delivery onsite.
- Review the Contract in terms of Scope of work, Schedules, Areas of concern, Action plans and Co-ordination with various other departments for relevant data.
- Interface with site to resolve site queries, non-conformance reports, drawings and analyse the same with the Engineering, Procurement and Expediting teams as required to arrive at practically feasible solutions at site.

NDIA is among the first international airports to be specifically designed with the Airbus 380 operation.

- Main Contractors: C.A.T. International Qatar.
- Project Manager &Main Consultant: OVERSEAS BECHTEL INCORPORATED (OBI).
- Project’s area: 22 square kilometer.

Responsibilities:
My area of work in this project; Central Utility Plants (2, 3&4) in CP-60 (Contract Package 60) which are considered the main mechanical systems in the airport, which includes Potable/Fire water Central Systems & Central Chilled Water System and Standby Power Generation system to feed the entire airport.
In NDIA project I had worked as a firefighting consultant for "C.A.T. International Qatar " due to agreement between them and "SCG" my employer at that time. In this project i was responsible about all activites that related to firefighting systems in CUP 2, 3&4 until getting approval from civil defense as described in the following responsibilities.

- Check the site installation and solve all problems due to site condition to comply with Civil defense requirments.
- Design, Specification Review to make sure that is complying with NFPA requirments.
- Review and check the shop drawing to comply with Civil defense requirments.
- Review & Check the standpipe system to comply with NFPA14, the wet sprinkler system to comply with NFPA 13.
- Review & Check all installation fire details based on NFPA requirement.
- Review & Check the hydraulic calculation for sprinkler system based on NFPA 13 requirements, standpipe system based on NFPA 14 requirements.
- Review & Check the FM200 system drawing to comply with NFPA 2001.
- Review the deluge system to comply with NFPA 15
- Review the pre-action system to comply with NFPA 13

- Review HVAC, plumbing and firefighting shop drawings, calculations and material submittals then prepare an appropriate recommendations to the senior site representative for final review.
- Witness testing and commissioning of the works. Assist with the final inspection of the work and to monitor final completion of the work.
- Review & Check all documentations required for handover such as, Testing and Commissioning reports, As-built drawings, Punch list, Warranties and settlement of all technical aspects as per norms and regulations.

In this period I had worked for SCG in Design/technical office, beside that; acting as a non-resident site engineer through regular visits onsite to follow up the progress of mechanical works. My responsibilities in this period varied between design and site supervision in different projects as described in the following.

- Develop and prepare design sketches, drawings and calculations for all HVAC systemes. That includes cooling load estimation, Chilled Water Plant arrangement, pipe sizing, valves arrangement, Duct sizing, Ducting layouts, pump head calculation and complete tender documents.
- Develop and prepare specifications and BOQ.
- HVAC system selection including selection of chiller, pumps, Air handling units and fans.
- Using engineering computer aided design software such as AutoCAD, HAP (HVAC load estimation), Elite firefighting.
- Coordinating with other design disciplines for design integrity
- Represents Shaker Group and work in close contact with and effectively interact with the internal design team as well as external clients and consultants (including owners, builders, developers, program managers, architects, vendors, etc.)
