As part of IT Governance Office, my role is to analyze & evaluate Bank's IT projects and processes with perspective of Risk.
Device, manage & revise policies & procedures fir better control & work flow.
After my 3years and 9 months service as HECO, at Bank I was elevated to position of Network Engineer for Azad Kashmir Region. I took charge of the region with 26 online branches and converted rest 53 branches to online, under my supervision/ charge.
My major job responsibilities as Network Engineer are:
- Network management of 89 online sites (branches) of region under my jurisdiction.
- Monitoring of network over NMS & optimization of network for network dependent services.
- Configuration, deployment & management of site routers.
- Planning, Feasibility & arrangement of prerequisites for media selection, bandwidth allocation & router selection for sites.
- Maintenance & management of routers over NSM (Network Security Manager).
- Hands-on experience over Juniper, CISCO, Nortel, Enterasys routers.
- Provide technical support for instability issues and critical site problems, as needed.
- Client end management of MS Exchange.
- Coordinate with vendor for media deployment, troubleshooting & up gradations.
- Coordinate with service suppliers for power equipment (UPS, LC).
- Coordination with head office.
- Documentation & inventory management of branch IT equipment.
- Dealing H/W replacement or repair issues.
- Dealing media rental payments and billing.
- Management of field support staff; Task assignment, task supervision, plan & motivate to meet targets & goals, trainings.
Along my jobs in different organizations, I kept my development skills alive, working as freelance IT specialist. I keep myself involved in following IT related activities as and when required.

Worked 3 years and 9 months as System + Application administrator, with primary focus to maintain Bank’s computerized environment at its best.
Following highlights cover my job description at this position.
- IT in charge of 25 Computerized Branches.
- System + Application Administrator.
- Management, maintenance, deployment of branch IT infrastructure.
- Maintenance & supervision of Linux servers, Oracle DB servers, LAN, WAN, Windows based workstations, power, server rooms, etc.
- PC support; 1st level support for O/S, DB, H/W, media & network.
- Support, maintenance of branch banking & online S/W.
- Maintenance & supervision of ATM machines, CCTV, UPS & LCs.
- Management/ Maintenance of communication system of branches (e-Mails/ Hyperlinks)
- Coordination with HO, Network Dept., IT Centers, Local management & vendors.

Primary role to deliver lectures to masters and bachelor level classes for discipline of Masters in Computer Sciences (M.C.S) and Bachelor of Computer Sciences (B.C.S). Taught Basic & Advance programming, Computer Graphics,
Advance Networks, Databases, Computer Architecture & Design related courses.
In addition I was also assigned additional capacity of ‘In charge of student project assistance committee’ and ‘Member WAN establishment committee for University of Azad Jammu & Kashmir’. For the latter assignment, we designed a network for World’s largest geographically scattered University (University of Azad Jammu & Kashmir), proposing connecting different campuses to each other.
After completion of my Masters degree in Computer Sciences, I joined Renaissance software as junior developer, where I was elevated to Project Manager WEB & Application development in a very short period of time. At this
position, I completed several projects assigned to my team.
Basic requirement of my job as project manager was to:
- Conceive requirements from clients, brain storm and discuss options.
- Produce reference diagrams (Work Flow, DFDs, ERDs, ..).
- Designing of database.
- Assign segments and timelines to team.
- Supervise and assist team members.
- Testing and quality assurance of code.
- Finalization of code.
- Application creation & handing over to client.
- If required, I also used to conduct software training to clients.
