To process transactions within the assigned portfolio and support ensuring smooth handling of end to end processing
• I was accountable for the banks’ assets products, underwriting and disbursements using Murabaha (assets) and Ijarah (lease) Contracts.
• My primary responsibility as Processor of Assets financing is to do underwriting and disbursement of facilities to offer support services to branches and departments in lines of business.
• Receive and review loan applications for completeness and accuracy;
• Data entry, appraisal and recommendation of loan applications received;
• Customer Service and handling of credit enquiries;
• Maintaining a good quality loan book through loan monitoring, follow up, issuance of demand notices and recovery;

• Ensure compliance with corporate and regulatory procedures (e.g., Know Your Customer, Anti-Money Laundering, Fraud Prevention, etc.) by implementing and monitoring operational processes affecting branches
• To maintain adequate cash stocks ensuring that excess cash is repatriated to avoid loss of revenue to the Bank.
• To verify that the cash in Teller Tills is balanced with the GL.
• To inspect the Customer Overdrawn Report each morning and in conjunction with Business Centre Manager, Head of Operations, Credit & Corporate Departments and Head of Retail, take appropriate action.
• To receive and resolve Customer queries/complaints or escalate them to the Business Centre Manager or Head of Operations in order to ensure customer satisfaction and retention.
• To inspect the GL Statements and Computer In-put /out-put Reports and ensure;
-All facility installments have been recovered on the due date.
-The Cash in Transit Account is Nil.
-Entries in Suspense Account are justifiable, reconciled and moved to Nil,
-Standing Orders are correct - the ones not executed due to lack of funds, Customer to be alerted and the same forwarded manually same day when funds are available and respective charges recovered.
-Inter Branch entries are correct and Report forwarded daily to Head Office
Back Office Officer
• Ensure accurate and timely posting and processing of varied back-office files (RTGS, TTs, Cheques, Foreign Drafts, salary processing) and ensuring smooth service delivery for both external and internal clients while observing compliance with KYC procedures.
• Post all entries related to Account to Account transfer, House Cheque deposits, Bankers Cheques, Foreign drafts and Telegraphic Transfer requests.
• To receive and post outward clearing cheques ensuring upcountry cash/Cheques and credit appropriate account upon proper verification of the deposit instruction.
• To sell Bankers cheque, Foreign Drafts or Telegraphic Transfers (TT) by receiving cash from Bank Account Holders. Only Bankers Cheques may be sold to non-Account holders
• To Request for cash from Head Teller and/or repatriate cash above your holding limit to Head Teller during the day and post in IMAL.
• Reconciliations for the Branch
• To prepare summary of postings and ensure it is verified by Supervisor; ensure any errors are reversed and posted correctly same day. All vouchers to be properly bound and forwarded to the Archiving Officer.
• To recover all charges and commissions as appropriate
• To cross sell Bank’s product/services to new and existing Customers.
