• Carrying out daily QA/QC inspections related to HVAC, Plumbing & Drainage, and Fire Fighting service installation.
• Review submitted Material Submittals, Shop Drawings, method statements, pre-qualifications, As-built drawings against contract drawings and specifications, local codes and statutory requirements and international best practice.
• Provide support and technical design engineering services in MEP services.
• Maintain an overview of entire project progress, quality control, and safety review on general construction practices accepted by standard code of practices, while continuing to attend to all technicalities review related to project.
• Report any works carried out by contractor found to not be in accordance with approved drawing and specifications and issue remedial/corrective action report (RCAR).
• Monitor quality of works and assess the safety at site including health and environmental issues, ensuring compliance with contractual.
• Site supervision/management of HVAC, Plumbing and firefighting works.
• Responsible for material and work inspections of all MEP works in accordance with established procedures to confirm compliance with Contract documents, drawings and specifications.
• Review all the mechanical technical submittals, shop drawings, pre-qualification documents, method statements, RAMS and lifting plans to ensure completeness, correctness, comply with the scope of work and requirements and forward, follow up with consultant for approval.
• Preparation of QCDD Documents for submission to consultant for uploading.
• Preparation of site requisitions for materials required for the project follow up for the LPO and subsequently follow up for the material delivery from supplier and raising any issues regarding the delivery to management.
• Attend project progress and technical meetings, with the contractors, consultants and other members of the Project Management team.
• Prepare, update procurement log for internal and client meeting. Follow up, track the delivery of long lead equipment’s as per delivery schedule.
• Preparation of all kind of Engineering calculations including hydraulic calculations, Load Calculations and Fans/Air Handling equipment static pressure calculation etc.
• Site supervision of external area underground pre-insulated chilled water pipes, foul water service, surface water, irrigation service, potable water fire service network.
• Studying the specification to know the project requirement in order to accomplish the project as per the Consultant/ Client requirement.
• Ensure compliance with contractual, technical matters and raise site clarification requests (RFI’s) for missing data and discrepancies.
• Floating enquiries, inviting quotation from suppliers / manufacturers, preparation of comparative statements (both technical and commercial), selecting the supplier/manufacturers as per the lowest quotation and within the budget provided without compromising the quality and standards and finally preparing the orders incorporating all technical conditions.
• Preparing the material submittals including the required schedules, compliance statements etc. and follow up with the Consultant for approval.
• Preparation of all kind of Engineering calculations including hydraulic calculations, Load Calculations and Fans/Air Handling equipment static pressure calculation etc.,
• Assist in work measurements and variation orders for any variation claims.
• Have a good knowledge of quality control requirements during project execution
• Supervise the installation of MEP sub-contractor works for wall & ceiling clearance. Assigning MEP sub-contractor works as per civil requirement and planned targets.
• Attend periodic on site coordination meeting and site walks with the Subcontractors.
• Reviewing tender documents, drawings and raising queries/qualifications regarding scope of works
• Successfully communicated with senior management through precise and efficient reporting
• Facilitate problem solving, as may arise, between MEP Subcontractors during construction.
• Monitor the progress of all the works conducted in order to ensure that any possible delays or issues are dealt with in a timely manner and at minimum cost to the company
• High command in implementation of EHS and QA/QC policies on project sites
• Organizing site walks with higher managements and informing them with project progress
• Preparing the competitive bids for the Projects with calculated minimum risk and handsome profit to company
• Reviewing tender documents, drawings and raising queries/qualifications regarding scope of works
• Providing professional reports to top management in terms of guesstimated project cost, resources required and risks involved to foresee the project feasibility before tender acceptance
• Preparation of costing sheet as per ISO standard & detail Break-Down price for BOQ
• Attending meetings with Clients/Consultants during award of contract and confirming scope of works.
• Carrying out cost savings proposals to client through Value Engineering methods
• Scrupulously preparing the project material and labour budgets post-contract for all materials and accessories and convey and liaise the same with concerned departments and project managers.
• Periodically liaise with project teams in monitoring the claims and variations and where required attending site meetings to validate and negotiate the claimed amounts with client and consultants.
Key Responsibilities: Reviewing Design Drawings for Mechanical System including but not limited to HVAC, Plumbing & Drainage, Fire Fighting, BMS etc, Carrying out daily QA/QC inspections related to services installation, Issuing Field (Site) instructions to contractor for any non-conformity with regards to project specification and industry standards, Attending meetings with the management to discuss EHS issues, Liaising the site walks with higher management and highlighting the areas of concern, Assisting the Resident Engineer in reviewing the shop drawings and other contractor’s submittals
