• Review all requests for claim denial, clear data and claim exceptions, and ensure deficiencies are flagged correctly.
• Review assigned reports and correct claims that are on hold or rejected.
• Ensure eligibility for claims is reasonable and correct by analyzing claims and supporting documentation.
• Responsible for managing all claims related activities on a daily basis.
• Responsible for analyzing claims and interpreting policies.
• Assess and authorize claim settlements when provided with a given limit of authority.
• Communicate updates, claim information requests, and recommendations to all relevant units.
• Responsible for the review and tracking of all incidents reports and ensure to follow up for additional information where
necessary.
• Attend claim review with senior manager on quarterly basis or as needed.
-Responsible for financial claims associated with time charter vessels.
- Acknowledge and process vessel owners' claims for time charter.
- Negotiate and ensure that the claims are legitimate by reviewing time charter contract.
- Calculate cost for purchased bunker.
- Process proforma invoices for shipping agencies.
- Responsible for processing port charges PDA and FDA.
- Process statement of accounts, monitor and reconcile companies' accounts.
- Parking invoices in SAP system.
• Administer all freight payment for organization and perform analysis on all data collected from external and internal sources and
prepare monthly ad hoc reports.
• Analyze all data to identify fright trends on weekly basis.
• Maintain list of all approved carriers, route guides and warehouse list and implement an effective transportation management
system and recommend improvement to performance and analyze trend.
• Analyze all freight processes and recommend improvements to all transportation and warehouse operations and perform audit
on all international and domestic invoices.
• Maintain records of carrier pricing and contract rates and resolve all issues in same and monitor all client calls and track all freight
carriers and resolve all overcharge issues.
