• I was the first employee hired reporting to the General Manager and in my six years I was promoted twice and had a team
of nine direct reports in various areas across the organization.
• I negotiated contracts with Carrefour, Sharjah Union Co-op, Al Safeer Mall, Hyperpanda, Lulu Market among others
resulting in more than one million dirhams in annual sales and the need for tripling our warehouses to ensure continuity of
supply in the market given the high demand
• Set up the trade license and approvals in a very short time frame, considering the paper requirements and system
limitations at the time
• Conducted a salary study and implemented an enhanced compensation scheme improving all employees’ salaries and
benefits
• Implemented new training programs for existing sales people, while also focusing on high talent acquisition and retention
Shiroza was an Egyptian FMCG Company that produced bath and body products with its own manufacturing facilities in
Alexandria, Egypt. The company was later acquired by Proctor & Gamble while I was working with them.
During my tenure with Shiroza I started my professional career in the UAE with them as a Public Relations Officer in 2006. The
company at the time was only launching and my duties included government relations responsibilities as well as business
development, sales and marketing among other elements. I was responsible for setting up the trade license, obtaining the
necessary ministry approvals for the products, negotiating contracts with vendors and outlets as well as developing marketing
strategies and campaigns. I was then promoted to Human Resources Officer in 2007 and soon after Human Resources
Manager in 2008 with nine (9) direct reports in HR, Sales and Contracts.
