4. JOB CONTEXT:
The efficiency of this position is critical for ensuring protection of company’s interests and credibility with respect to stores functionalities/operations.
Having large ongoing projects & construction activities, it is critical to fully manage & control inventories
and assets, to help in enhancing the pace of execution work at project sites.
5. COMMUNICATIONS & WORKING RELATIONSHIPS:
Internal:
Ongoing communication with Commercial staff, and Stores I/C’s at Head Office for materials, assets, inventories and other stores related issues.
Ongoing communication with Finance department for updating vendors’/suppliers’ accounts
(advances/payables).
Ongoing communication with project site(s) staff, SM/PM and Construction Managers for work related issues.
Ongoing communication with other BA/BSD for work related issues.
Ongoing communication with Audit Department for confirmation of stock by performing physical count
exercises.
External:
Ongoing communication with vendors for logistics and other relating issues such as inquiries for
items/goods rates, their availability, quotations etc.
Ongoing communication with auditors for confirmation of stock by performing physical count exercises.
6. FRAMEWORKS, BOUNDARIES, & DECISION MAKING AUTHORITY:
Work under the general direction of Project Manager (PM) / Site Manager (SM) administratively and I/C
Stores BA Functionally.
Work is done as per Commercial departmental procedures and in compliance with contract terms.
Decisions with respect to scheduling of work are taken by this position in agreement with I/C Stores BA
and PM / SM.
Can approve vouchers as per financial limits assigned
Can recommend staff leaves, increment, promotion and hiring (related to stores) cases in consultation
with I/C Stores BA & SM/PM
Decisions with respect to stores staff mobilization, transfer or secondment are taken by this position in
consultation with concerned persons / authorities.
