Upgrade of SAP R/3 version 2.2x to 3.1x
Delivered Y2K Compliance to Process Control Systems and Business Information Systems in October 1998. Project was launched on April 1997. Ar-Razi was the very first company to be announced as Y2K compliant in SABIC.
Headed the IT department and implemented major enhancements in the Network and introduced added-value solution to the business.
Acted as a change agent in the TQM exercise. I delivered lectures; facilitate discussion groups, worked as a coach and a mentor during the process.
My intro to IT world started through a government grant by SADCAD where I finished my B.Sc. and M.Sc. in computer science. Finished Diploma 86, Bachelor 91 and Master 92 shuffling between work and school.
Started as a developer then moved through the ladder to become the Data Center manager and Technical Support head.
Participated and headed some committees like:
- Disaster Recovery,
- Customs SADCAD Strategy Direction committees.
- Negotiated and reviewed SADCAD operation contracts.
- Reviewed and standardized the helpdesk operation.
