Strategic Management Role:
▪ Drives continuous development of IT strategy.
▪ Ensures alignment of strategic IT initiatives with the demands of the business.

▪ Managing Company’s servers (AD servers, DHCP, DNS, HR system, MS AX Servers, File and print Servers, NAS, Kaspersky Endpoint Servers, Sophos Intercept X, ESXi hosts, WSUS Server, Fleet Management Servers, SQL Servers, and IT ticketing server), and Implementing fleet system and Subcontractor’s system.
▪ Managing IP phones system, IP PBX, NVR/DVR Cameras, VPN connections between branches, FortiGate firewalls, and 100+ Truck tablets)
▪ Build from scratch the IT infrastructure for Sky Ports including (datacenters, SAN storages, vCenter and vSphere, Clustered firewalls, Wi-Fi network, CCTV system, VMTs for terminal equipment \[STS Cranes, Mobile Cranes, and RTGs\], terminal weighbridges, and Gate automation).
▪Implementing TOS (Terminal Operating System), ERP MS Dynamics 365, and MS O365 (Exchange, SharePoint, PowerApps, Power Automate) for Sky Ports.
▪Led IT department team of 8 persons for all sections: development section, network infrastructure section, and helpdesk team in all company’s branches (UAE and Iraq branches).
▪Preparing, monitoring, and controlling the annual IT budget (1.5 million USD).
▪Led and managed IT vendors.
▪Participating in regional and global IT meetings regularly for reporting.
▪Active involvement with the global cyber security team in implementing the cyber security policies.
▪Providing the best IT solutions to business and management problems.
o Undertaking routine preventative maintenance, with regular testing for the disaster recovery process and all backup regularly tested and documented.
o SAP admin user for managing users, solution manager tickets, and supporting users. Navis N4 admin user for 3rd-level support.
Key Achievements
▪ Built the startup data centres with 70+ servers, 100+ switches, 170+ CCTV, 50+ VMTs for terminal trucks, RTGs, Cranes, and 50+ wireless devices to cover all port yards with fibre connections and wireless backup links. Followed by creating a disaster recovery site (within Iraq) with replication servers.
▪Implemented the IT standards, policies, and procedures to ensure alignment with its business goals and global IT standards and managed the operational services to be aligned with the agreed SLAs.
▪Implemented and managed Tenable vulnerability scanner for assessment computers/servers/network devices, Tenable IO for web applications (SOC), Alert Logic for Syslog and event log servers (SIEM), and CrowdStrike MDR.
▪Created an off-site (in Dubai) disaster recovery site for the main servers for the terminal operating system (Navis TOS).
▪Improved internet stability by up to 40% by configuring the firewalls to balance between 3 internet links and decrease internet cost by 10% through effective negotiating pricing with internet service providers.
▪Implemented terminal operating systems TOS (Navis N4), 2 successful upgrades from 2.6 to 3.4 and from 3.4 to 3.8).
▪ Responsible for administering, managing, and monitoring Group Server Rooms in all companies, and branches, and leading IT Technical Engineer and Help Desk Teams.
▪ Administered 4 Server Rooms, 14 Branches, plus UK, Algeria, Dubai, and South Africa Servers.
o Managed WAN connections using Juniper and Cisco routers based on leased lines, WiMAX, Aruba, and 3G, with more than 1900 Users.
o Monitored Group Servers -which include domain controllers, Microsoft Exchange servers, SAP Server, Symantec Backup Exec, Antivirus Servers, SharePoint and Project Server, VMware vCenter Servers, MS SQL Servers, Fabrication Server, FAX Server, Microsoft Lync (SfB) Server, and File/Print Serves.
▪ Implemented backup configurations for SAN storage (Sun, IBM v7000, and HP) using fiber & SCSI connections. Focusing on security by applying efficient rules in FortiGate, Forti Mail, Riverbed WAN accelerator, and Antispam Devices.
Key Achievements
▪ Upgraded Microsoft active directory and Microsoft Exchange servers. Installed and deployed Microsoft SCCM Server.
▪ Saved up to 20% of Internet cost by negotiating the price with ISP and applying new solutions.
Responsible for implementing, monitoring, and developing IT environment, documentation, and policies.
▪Coached the IT staff members including hiring, evaluating, training, and developing.
▪Established security policies and IT policies. Ensure all branch server rooms are running smoothly and all IT policies are followed.
