Stand in as Control Room Operator as backup for panel operator when required.
Lead area operator for establishment of continuous safe and efficient operation
Operates and controls Process and Utility facilities in a safe and efficient manner, thereby ensuring the continuous production
Carry out adjustments to process facilities, Identify and report to the Supervisor any plant/equipment malfunction that could deteriorate into a major incident.
Implements, shutdown, isolation, de-pressurizing and cleaning equipment required for maintenance, purging and de-isolating ensuring all work permits have been cleared before bringing production back on line.
Recover plant from any emergency shutdown and minimizes loss of production, whilst adhering to operating procedures.
Knowledge of lab duties, procedures and basic oil, gas and water analysis.
Complete pre start-up/operating checks, ensuring all interdependent systems are available and Completes post start-up/operating checks to ensure normal operating conditions.
Operate in a safe and efficient manner ensuring that all operations are carried out within the terms of the PTW and local relevant standing orders.
Supervises contractors’ personnel working on the site, ensuring they observe all safety procedures.
Effectively communicating each operation to the shift team.
Emergency Response - Required as part of Fire Team and First Aider.
Maintain high standard, reliable and efficient operating variables in line with SHE policy. Ensure shift activities are in line with SHE requirements.
Control safe operations using PTW, JSA, JRA, LMRA and Tool box meeting.

Make regular routine checks of all equipment and units to ensure that they are functioning correctly in accordance with standard operating procedure.
 Report all equipment’s and instrument defects and leaks immediately to my production supervisor and take possible corrective action.
 Check and record in the plant log sheet each and every hour a variety of reading such as oil and gas flow, temperature and pressure and record usual occurrences after reporting them to my Production Supervisor.
 Start, check and stop pumps locally according to instructions or in case of emergency.
 Assist in carrying out the routine weekly run test of equipment’s like emergency diesel generator, diesel and electrical fire pumps, etc.
 Check the water/oil interface level in sumps tanks and operate their pumps locally when they required.
 Participate under instruction in launching pigs into pipelines, prepare pig receiver stations and remove the pig and check it for damages under the guidance of the Production Supervisor.
 Unload chemicals into tanks for injections, start and adjust the flow rate of chemical injection pumps as required.
 Collect oil, gas and water samples and measure that water cut in oil, salt concentration in the produced water and pass the samples to the laboratory for analysis.
 To assist the maintenance of production equipment.
 Maintain good house keeping and ensure the satellite is kept clean and tidy.

Trouble shooting as per cause and effect Logics, well versed knowledge in plant Safety Procedures, Equipment’s and Emergency procedures.
