This is a new school that has just opened. I carry out varied duties as there are no current students. Adopting the IB curriculum, I have carried out lesson planning. In order to prepare for the arrival of the children I have decorated the classroom to be age appropriate.
Plan activities for the children, carry out observations on the children and monitor their progress by carrying out their baselines, and create action plans following the EYFS. We also have a few children with special needs which I have worked with one-to-one to set targets that are reasonable and achievable to progress their development. I also have the responsibility to greet parents in the morning and carry out the register in the morning and in the afternoon. I have also carried out the risk assessment before allowing the children to start to play. I have worked with different health care professionals such as physiotherapists, speech and language therapists and occupational therapists to provide the best possible learning outcome for the child. I have done the IEP and various other documents in order for a child to transition from the nursery to a primary school.

Longwood School and nursery
My duties included setting up the room, preparing the different activities for the children, setting up the garden for physical play such as climbing activities. My duties also involved greeting parents in the morning and giving them verbal feedback at the end of the day. I also assist the children with the activities during the day and write the daily observations on the children and the reports as well.

My duties were to assist the children with the activities that they did during the day, this ranged from observing the children playing during the day and assisting staff in setting up the room.
