I. The Travancore Cochin Chemicals Ltd., Kochi, India Senior Engineer- Instrument Maintenance Oct 1999 to Mar 2005

Maintenance Engineer at the Instrumentation Department of Travancore Cochin Chemicals Ltd., a leading state owned petrochemical manufacturing plant.
Responsibilities include maintenance of the process loops, routine, breakdown and planned maintenance including preventive maintenance of equipments and instrumentation systems. This involve coordination between operations department, technical services, workshops, warehouse, purchasing and contracting sections etc. for maintaining minimal plant down times. Supervision of shut down jobs including overhauling, maintenance, calibration and trouble shooting of various types of pneumatic, electrical and electronic instruments, applied in the measurement of various process parameters. These instruments include field transmitters, loop controllers, analyzers, calibrators, control valves etc.
• Worked as a project associate for the electrolysis cell house expansion project in association with Asahi Co., Japan, for interfacing the new instrumentation to the existing control system.
• Project associate in the installation, testing and commissioning of 45m3 ionic filter project.
• Working knowledge of Allen Bradley and Tata Honeywell PLC's and interlock diagrams.
• Familiar with the capabilities and configuration of the following: • Single and multi-loop programmable controllers.
• MMI Software Fix DMCAS over Windows NT platform.
• MMI Software Scan 3000 over UNIX platform.
