 Direct incoming and outgoing traffics through assigned sector of approaches
 Maintain accurate log of Maritime situations and interventions in the field.
 Take active part in the field security drills and exercises
 Operates the communication equipment when required (ex: emergency),
 Stand by radio, emission of outgoing messages, as instructed by the Marine Superintendent/MOM
 Liaises with helicopter(s) and all field vessels’ spread,

Offshore Radio Operator at Total Deepwater Offshore facility (FPSO AKPO)

 Established and Maintained Communications with Air and Sea Transporters within Akpo field for the safe arrivals / departures of cargo and Personnel through Radio and Telephone equipment’s.
 Controlled all shipping and maritime movements on Akpo field under the direct supervisions of the marine superintendent and ensure that vessels entering, bathing and leaving Akpo field safely.
 Acted as instructed by the marine superintendent on Akpo field during emergencies by coordinating all marine spread requirements for evacuation and rescue operations.
 Observed all Akpo field operations, issue shipping notices, check navigational aids within the Akpo Fpso marine exclusion zone for defects, and receive / transmit meteorological data.
 Controlled and monitored all navigation and shipping movements in and around Akpo field by maintaining a close watch on the (RADAR, VHF, HF, IMMASAT-C RADIOS & CCTV) for safe operations.

 Always ensured that crash and rescue vessels and firefighting equipment’s are positioned for landing / takeoff, and restrictions of all vessels movements in the vicinity of 500 meters. Off the helicopter winch math move by giving prior notices.
