My role is a Data Center System Administrator
With the following tasks :
- Daily Performance monitoring for the Data Center Services (Physical eye check, network connections to all web services, Network, servers memory, H.D space, Storage IOPs peaks) using PRTG Monitoring software.
- Contact vendors in case of any HW or SW issues.
- Respond to customer requests and provide consistent communication.
- Responsible for the first level of investigation in each incident occurs within shift.
- To provide notifications, escalations, status updates, and problem reporting as required.
- Collecting Hosts CPU and Memory utilization for VMware virtual environment .
- Administrating and supporting EMC storage (VNX 5300).
- Connecting host-based systems (Vmware ESXi ) to SAN storage through iSCSI.
- Creating and assigning LUNs from Storage to Physical and virtual machines.
- Implementing and test new solutions and products (Vmware vcops, vcloud meter, vcloud director, KVM hypervisor, Cpanel, ..).
Help desk Engineer at al Maadi Company for engineering industries
