o Resolve advanced technical problems brought by customers and Application
Engineers at EMEA PA (Process Automation) supporting all Modicon PAC’s - M580,
M580 + H/S, M340, Ethernet, I/O, Unity Pro, Quantum, Premium, Telemetry, Clear
SCADA and RTU’s.
o Proposing ways to solve issues occurred during the implementation process (from
design to project commissioning).
o Evaluate and suggest product and service solutions in line with customer’s needs and
requirements.
o Identify and qualify product failures, and assist Engineering in understanding and
resolving them.
o Interacts closely with the R&D departments for any Software, Hardware and
Firmware issues.
o Case tracking with entries in the BFO system.
o Resolution / Workaround publishing
o Research and documentation of technical problems and solutions.
o Work with field service engineers to arrange on-site visits or troubleshooting as
required.
o Provides the complete electrical engineering, specification and design covering all
loads and power sources for Cement Plant
o Study and evaluate the customers’ tender documents, specification and
requirements.
o Preparation and interpretation of technical specifications and enquiry documentation
o Participated at many Projects to review the designed systems that meet customers’
technical specification for:
1. Low voltage distribution board (LVDB);
2. Motors Control Center (MCC);
3. Auxiliary Control Center (ACC);
4. Marshaling Panels Logics (MPL);
5. Marshaling Panels Instrumentations (MPI);
6. Lighting Panels
7. Earthing and Lightening Protection
8. Telephone System
9. Fire detection
o Ensure that design is simple and low cost but yet functional and fully comply with
customers’ specifications.
o Evaluate with Head of Dept and lead Project Engineer the various designs before
submitting them to Management.
o Participates in client meetings, technical clarifications and sales support
o Following up the designed Panels at workshop and participating at the Pre-FAT
o Provides the complete electrical engineering, specification and design covering all
loads and power sources for Cement Plant
o Study and evaluate the customers’ tender documents, specification and
requirements.
o Preparation and interpretation of technical specifications and enquiry documentation
o Participated at many Projects to review the designed systems that meet customers’
technical specification for:

o Assure all project aspects meets Safety Requirement specifications (SRS) and safety
Prepare quotations for Design Engineering man hours and assigning the tasks to the
team according to their qualifications.
o Measure the team efficiency based on the tasks consumed hours.
o Create team development Plan to raise team efficiency.
o Achievement of the link between the customer and the team.
o Leading Projects, put schedule, Execution and testing plans.
o Prepare SW and HW functional design specifications (FDS)
o Hardware Design for Tricon & Trident cabinets.
o Responsible for Project engineering, Project planning, system installation, system
configuration, trouble shooting and Testing
o Produce all the drawings needed for Hardware designs for cabinets like (System
Architecture, General Arrangement, Floor Loading, Detailed layout drawing, Power
Distribution…) with supervising and revising the drawings coming from the Drafters.
o Participate in the review of hardware technical product documentation to ensure that
consistent, accurate and appropriate information is provided, recommending
corrections, additions or improvements.
o Submitting CR’ (clarification requests) for unclear issues need confirmation and/or
design change from customer.
o PLC software familiarity (P& ID, ladder diagram, functional block diagram and Cause
& Effect diagram)
o HMI configuration using InTouch (Wonderware).
o Tricon hardware firmware upgrade.
o Bulk generation for Logic implementation using Engineering Workbench for Safety
(IEW 3.8).
o Data Base Manipulation.
o Develops software and completes all necessary documentation to meet requirements
of the application specifications (SYRS, SRS/HRS, SDD/HDD and PT2 Files)
o Management of systems Requirements, Tractability by linking requirements to design
items, test plans, test cases and other requirements using IBM Rational DOORS.
o Configuration Files Storage Management System (ex. VSS, SVN, CVS, …

1. Translate the customer input design documents (AD, LD, IO and set point manuals) into
engineering requirements

of the application specifications (SYRS, SRS/HRS, SDD/HDD and PT2 Files)
3. Act as a Team Leader for Nuclear 1E team estimating the Man Hours and project
timescales using P6 Schedule.
