Manages the full wholesale activities and personnel for Hallmark and Toy Store products in the UAE and GCC region. Drives and implements the company sales strategies and sets yearly objectives and action plans to ensure consistent and profitable growth in sales revenues and customer base.
Main duties:
Managing the distribution of the greeting cards (UK and US items) and other products to modern trade centers (i.e. Carrefour and Spinneys) all over UAE.
Designing the wholesale planogram, and assigning stands in each branch with different spaces that include different types of cards (birthdays, signature cards, blank, etc...) in addition to gift wrapping
and accessories.
Preparing the orders for gifts & soft toys for the main seasons throughout the year (i.e. Christmas & New Year, Valentine, Mother Day, Father Day, etc...).
Monitoring the stock and maintaining adequate levels of supplies by ordering/purchasing the required products.
Attending local and abroad fairs and exhibitions to establish contacts with new vendors, secure new deals and introduce new products to the wholesale sector.
Planning and forecasting the yearly budget, targets, expenses and potential customers.
Managing a team of 1 supervisor and 6 merchandisers in the UAE, which includes staff recruitment, training and performance evaluation.
Remotely managing all country managers in the GGC branches (Qatar, Bahrain, Kuwait, KSA and Oman) and conducting frequent visits to ensure consistency in performance.

Main achievements:
Acquired new customers for Toy store products (i.e. WHSmith, EPCO, Union COOP) and established contacts with potential customers such as Giant, leisure and entertainment stores, bookstores (Magrudy and borders) and duty free.
Secured deals with Carrefour for new products (i.e. eurowrap).
Introduced new stationary lines to 7 stores in spinneys.
Introduced the “Cash Van” concept to the company sales lines.
Introduced the “Signature products” concept in luxury stores (i.e. Harvey Nichols, Bloomingdales, Debenhams, Gallery Lafayette, etc...).
