Larbi Djilali

Working into the Microsoft sustaining teams and Quality as a Service Management Team (QSMT) supporting the System Engineers team to test Severs/Racks by providing the required SKU, HW, and FW information. My role is focused in the QaaS Trackers creation and management, resumed at these points among others:
1- Do the investigation related to the FW (Bios, BMC, Cerberus, PSU, RM etc.) to be tested.
2- Do the investigation related to the commodity (SSDs, E1S, E1L, HDD, DIMM, etc.) to be tested.
3- Define the SKUs to be defined based on the requestor desired.
4- Create the Qaas trackers with the desired information needed for testing (HW, FW, OS version, Dates, etc.)
5- Create and review the Test plan to be Executed.
6- Review the obtained results and the Bug resolutions.
7- Do the sign-off of the testing reports.
8- Support the PM with the needs to ensure the testing complete.

Part-time Professor of Electrical Engineering graduate programs: under-graduate program. My responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Teaching a requisite number of graduate classes.
Assisting with the development of course material.
Supervising postgraduate students.
Regularly publishing journal and conference articles.
Serving on national and international academic committees.
Mentoring students.
Participating in program actualizations...etc.

Team Lead Rack Scale Test Validation. My role is focused on the Data Center
scale test, resumed at these points among others:
1. Lead and plan the test execution for the scale cluster.
2. Define the related project test cases regarding the project requirements.
3. Review the test case results, report Bugs using JIRA or Microsft Bug system, and verify the
fix of each issue. 4. Configure/bring up server systems/racks, and network switches based on
customers requirements.
5. Perform scale tests and hardware/firmware validation based on customers requirements.
6. Collaborate with peers/function owners and communicate with customers to report and verify
the identified issues.
7. Modify the test suites and implement testing on different environments such as CSI
Toolkit/Vega.

System-level validation of high performance CPUs and interconnected interfaces, covering the identification and implementation of worst-case scenarios for CPU’s power rails validation. My responsibility is focused on Power rail stress, resumed at these points among others:
Enabling the system by debugging different IOs circuits such as PCIe, DDR, UPI...etc.
Ensuring system boot using different OS such as Linux, WIN.
Defining the test plan of different IPs, Mother Board Voltage Regulators.
Select the hardware and software requirements to implement the defined test plan.
Implementation of the Stress contents and verify their functionality.
Using different instruments to measure currents, voltage, power as Oscilloscope, Multimeter, Dongles...etc.
Creating reports for the obtained results.

Professor of Electrical Engineering graduate programs
such as physics, sensors and actuators, mechatronic systems, robotics for the undergraduate
program, and nonlinear system dynamics, Filtering and Neural Network identification for the
postgraduate program. My responsibilities include but are not limited to:
1. Teach a requisite number of undergraduate and postgraduate classes.
2. Assist with the development of course material.
3. Supervise graduate theses.
4. Participate in the faculty program actualization.
5. Regularly publishing journal and conference articles.
6. Serve on national and international academic committees.

Research Focusing
on improving the Low-Voltage Ride-Through (LVRT) capacity of distributed energy resources
installed in grid-connected microgrids through Neural Based Controllers An Opal-RT (OP5600)
simulator is utilized to validate the proposed control schemes. My responsibilities include but
are not limited to:
1. Design an AC microgrid composed of distributed generators.
2. Perform the integration of Renewable Energy sources into the Microgrid.
3. Develop the Conventional local controllers for each distributed generator.
4. Develop intelligent controllers-based neural networks for installed power generators.
5. Design a secondary controllers-based neural network to control the power/voltage /frequency
in grid-connected/island operation modes.
6. Simulate the developed microgrid and its controllers using Matlab/Simulink and the Opal RT
Lab by performing HIL and RTS.
7. Study the stability analysis of the system and the developed controllers.

Professional Focusing on ABB Distributed Control System (DCS).
My responsibilities include but are not limited to:
1. Study the concept of Distributed Control System (DCS) as a case of study the ABB DCS
based on AC 800F.
2. Study the architecture of the Fuel & Gas (F&G) system.
3. Study the architecture of the Emergency Shutdown (ESD) system.
4. Calibrate the Field instruments such as Transmitters, Regulators, Valves, Security Valves,
Switches...etc.
5. Test and prepare the electrical automation diagram and circuits.
6. Program, if needed, new sequences using Ladder, Grafcet, and List languages.
7. Ensure the maintenance plan execution of the field instruments, PLCs, and industrial
equipment.

Teaching Computer skills. My responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Teaching Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint).
Teaching Pascal programming languages.
Teaching Assembly programming languages.
Assisting with the development of course material.

2. Support the researcher in the realization of the experiments.

1. Teach Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Programming languages such as Pascal, Assembly.
2. Help in the development of course material and program actualization.
3. Supervise the undergraduate student theses.
