Identify and create HAZDECs for HAZMAT cargo being shipped by air, sea, or ground
•Mission planning and supervision of the work of subordinate staff
•Coordinate, assign, monitor, and evaluate work
•Provide accountability for cargo received and shipped through the CRSP shipping and receiving section
•Reconciles reports on a monthly, quarterly, and fiscal year
•Act as a liaison with regards to the CRSPs internal and external customers
• Ensure that safety standards, security procedures, and departmental rules are observed and maintained
•Supervises the Material Handling Equipment Operator - Lift, stack and unstuck articles or materials using diesel, electric, gas, or petrol-powered trucks equipped with fork attachments
•Supervises the Shipping and Receiving Clerks - Keep records, prepare shipments, and accept deliveries of merchandise for customers
•Supervises the Carpenter - Overseeing and performing the duties of a Carpenter with regards to constructing shipping containers, reinforcing structures, and assisting the CRSP function with shipping, receiving, and issuing customer packages
•Supervises the Freight Movement Specialist - Organize the safe and efficient movement of goods on behalf of exporter and importer or another company or person
Monitors all transportation movement.
•Assists in sourcing out new modes of transportation and carriers.
•Analyzes cost of freight performance for carriers.
•Responsible for monitoring scheduled movements.
•Ensures security has been coordinated; link up teams and Movement Control Teams (MCTs) for required moves.
•Inputs convoy movement data into ledger, close convoy entries, and track convoys on Movement Tracking.
•Retrieves all convoy reports from the MCTs via NIPR computers.
•Contacts MCTs when reports are not received by required times.
•Assists in creating circulation overlays.
•Maintains historical data on all movements.
•Perform movement control operations.
•Familiar with (MHE) material handling equipment operations, ie, Forklift 4K, 6K, 10K, 12K, 14K, and 100K container handlers.
•Knowledge of moving ocean freight shipment through the designated SPOE/D.
•Leads cargo trucks convoy and has overall responsibility for mission coordination, preparation, equipment safety and accountability.
Perform tasks that include general inspection of equipment and material, receiving documentation, moving equipment and materials within designated areas, and assisting with inventory management requirements
