Procurement Engineers have very detailed knowledge of the equipment, materials and supplies used in a particular industry, and are able to identify companies that sell them.
•Manage suppliers to meet objectives related to cost, delivery performance, schedule and quality.
•Knowledge and direct experience in negotiating contracts and quotations with Contract Manufacturers and Suppliers
•Negotiate with suppliers on lead-time, cost and quality so as to obtain the maximum benefit for the company.
•Procurement Engineers are responsible for managing supplier performance in terms of quality, cost, delivery, and responsiveness.
•Perform regular performance review with suppliers to drive continuous improvements.
•Coordinate with vendor on continuous quality improvement.
•Create monthly performance reviews and reports focusing on overall sourcing requirements.

• Developing long-term partnerships with suppliers; managing day-to-day supplier performance to ensure meeting of service, cost, delivery and quality norms.
• Consistently evaluating vendor performance on the basis of price, quality & credibility to ensure adherence to predefined specifications and supply of quality material/ execution of job works.
• Preparing purchase orders, tenders & offers and performing techno-commercial negotiation with vendors, ensuring on time payments.
• Follow up and tracking the supply against the purchase orders.
• Pro-actively managing the delivery of service and managing relationships with the customers at all levels.
• Negotiation with suppliers for obtaining timely procurement of materials at favorable commercial terms.
• Having the knowledge of import and documentation for imports.
• Handling vendor’s inquiries for payment and timely delivery.
• Maintain the record of indent, P.O, store stock etc.
• Handling petty cash.
