Provide functional and administrative support to the protection unit on protection related liaison, correspondence, monitoring, case management and reporting activities. Carry out all scheduling activities including room allocations. Screen cases for methodology and vulnerability while scheduling RSD appointments on Project X, a database system used to schedule all appointments of persons of concern in UNHCR Beirut. Supports the protection unit in designing a comprehensive protection strategy and in providing quality, timely and effective protection responses to persons of concern (POC). Carry out translations of Refugee Status Determination Rejection Letters. Conduct First Instance, Appeal, and Reopening results counselling. Prepare payments for interpreters and manage Petty Cash. Accept and close referral sent by the Registration team and take the required action (RAIS Platform). Provide counseling to Syrian de-prioritized cases and counselling on issuance of Refugee Certificates as well as provide other individual counseling as required. Liaise externally with local authorities and partners on correspondence and/or protection issues as guided by the management. Facilitate the involvement of persons of concern in making decisions that affect them, whether in assessing their rights or in identifying appropriate solutions to their problems.
