• Hands-on management of IT Projects and Desktop Teams through site implementation, decommisioning, and major site roll outs across the MENA region. Major projects include the Dubai Festival City, Cairo Festival City, Yas Marina Hotel Abu Dhabi, and Motor City Dubai.
• Provide IT Costs Estimates for small to large scale projects across MENA in coordination with the IT Management and Estimating Department as well as liasing with clients when needed
• The prompt management and closure of Helpdesk Calls ensuring accurate and timely call notes and detailed call closure information is recorded.
• Ongoing technical training and awareness and the coaching and advising of IT Project Engineers & IT Team Leaders.
• Mentoring and coaching of IT Engineers, Desktop Team Leaders, and Senior IT Engineers.
• Deputising for IT Projects and Support Manager as required.
• Directly reports to the Chief Financial Officer of the company.
• Management of Technical, ERP, and Software Development Groups.
• Responsible for overall ICT strategic planning, budgeting, and security.
• Define functional requirements and performs functional allocation to identify required tasks which may include information planning and analysis and procurement of IT equipment and peripherals.
• Escalates, recommends and provides IT related solutions through designated channels.
• Major achievements include chairmanship of the IT TQM Commitee and successful implementation of the JDE Manufacturing including MRP and Fixed Assets Modules.
• Identify Training Needs based on applicable work instruction. Prepare and release training schedules.
• Execute training program based on the approved training schedule which includes technical orientation, operative training and other training being offered in-house.
• Review training effectiveness periodically through pre- and post-testing and performance appraisal for both line and personnel performance.
• Ensure that all newly hired employees and/or existing cross-trained employees are properly trained before being endorsed to their assigned production areas.
• Make and develop line set-up for new production models and products.
• Evaluate line equipment prior to production use.
• Evaluates new materials and samples, incoming or in-line, direct or indirect.
• Performs experiments and design aimed to reduce rejections and increase productivity at the lowest production cost.
• Conducts training to operators for new lines, products, machines, and tools.
• Disseminate information and instructions to subordinates with regards to quality, productivity, product specification and discipline. Provide, submit and present weekly report on quality and productivity improvement meetings.
• Responsible for making Employee 201 files up to date
• Assit HR Manager on developing training needs analysis for the employees.
