Specific Roles;
Developing advertising strategies in line with the group’s annual promotion and
campaign calendar.
Facilitating and spearheading target driven integrated marketing communication: online
and offline.
Supporting and spearheading implementation of unit events and promotions calendar
Strengthening and supporting unit based promotions ( F&B)
Sourcing and implementing Strategic Brand partnerships

Managing all social media platforms i.e Facebook, Twitter, Instagram for the hotel and sister properties including Cloud Hotel and Suites, Mara Concord Lodge and Bahari Dhow Beach Villas.
Updating hotel website with relevant and timely content.
Providing briefs for advertising and promotional materials.
Liaising with Food and Beverage Departments and Front Office in coming up with and executing marketing promotions for restaurants and rooms.
Organising media site visits to all properties.
Formulating marketing and publicity strategies including building partnerships with relevant organisations to ensure publicity and marketing of the hotel.
Responding to customer queries and comments on Online Travel Agents e.g. Trip Advisor.
Managing events at the hotel and ensuring media coverage including writing of press releases.
Managing, selecting and providing briefs for advertising on print, electronic and social media platforms.
-Coordinating events through ensuring everything goes as planned including budgeting, guest attendance, venue availability and media coverage. -Liaising with internal customers, agencies, production houses and suppliers to ensure campaigns are rolled out in a timely manner.
-Ensuring delivery of quality advertising material by checking on accuracy in terms of data integrity, layout, house policy and grammar.
- Managing of all ongoing campaigns by ensuring agencies get relevant material while also ensuring correct information is supplied timeously.
-Conceptualising and executing marketing campaigns in consultation with the Marketing Manager.
-Ensuring content received from suppliers have all accompanying material such as images of casts as well as promo material for the shows.
- Building of publicity of Maisha Magic East and Maisha Magic Bongo channels (Previously Maisha Magic and Maisha Magic Swahili) and shows. Writing of press releases on new shows towards building publicity and awareness.
- Building publicity of Maisha Magic and Maisha Magic Bongo TV channels (Previously Maisha Magic and Maisha Magic Swahili) through arranging of interviews on relevant media stations.
- Coordinating press, VIP and other guests’ invitations during events.
-Report writing /Media Reports of Various Brands monitored by the Dept

I served as an intern at Kenya News Agency Mombasa Bureau in 2002 and my roles included; • Collecting and disseminating news items from various parts of Coast province for broadcasting and publication on national media stations. • Presenting English news bulletins for Coast based Pwani FM . • Supervising all interns at the bureau during the period of internship. . Editing and relaying of news to KNA headquarters in Nairobi. . Compiled features on the tourism industry in Coast Province for broadcast on KBC TV channel..
