o Co-ordination for various activities relevant to the EPC stage of the project to ensure that the project is delivered on time, on budget and to agreed quality standards.
o Monitors the work of the Subcontractors, Vendors & PMT team members so that work proceeds as per plan.
o Activities include detailed engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning stages of the project in adherence to project requirements, Client procedures and industry best practices
o Co-ordination with client for timely review/ approval of projects deliverables/ activities
o Monitor the progress of work by contractors, vendors, Identify potential bottle necks and recommend corrective actions to ensure smooth and timely completion of project phases
o Co-ordination & active Participation on Project related Design reviews such as HAZOP/SIL/ PHSER/ Model reviews etc. including the close out actions are completed by all parties.
o Ensure that the project procurement activities are carried out as per the agreed procedure Co-ordinating for COMPANY approval at all stages including MR, TBT, PO etc.
PROJECT ENGINEER ( EPIC ) specializing in providing services for the Oil and Gas industry.
•Breadth of expertise also include Piping and Mechanical ( Static and Rotating )
•Expertise in conducting engineering review, evaluating technical bids and looking after pre-commissioning and commissioning of EPIC projects for Onshore and Offshore Piping, Tankage, Vessels and Rotating Equipment’s.
•Proficient in handling structural works and equipment erection for the heavy industrial sectors namely, Oil & Gas (onshore/offshore) & Fertilizers Plants
•Ability to manage large size EPIC projects & tasks with changing priorities & tight deadlines
•Sound knowledge of areas related to operations of mechanical installations and process systems
•Well-versed with international codes & standards like ASME / ASTM, ANSI, API, TEMA, BS & ISO
•Resourceful at strategizing techniques for maximum utilization of manpower and machinery
•Looked after design and development of systems and components
Coordinated with the:
oEngineering staff to ensure the form, fit and function of designs and prepared design sketches and drawings in accordance with applicable standards
oFabrication Managers to ensure cost effectiveness and manufacturability of designs
•Implemented welding symbols and tolerances into design drawings
•Reviewed structural analyses, prototype test processes, operations procedures, and reports using Computer-Aided Engineering (CAE) and appropriate computer software
•Verified design drawings and other technical documentation to ensure correctness & accuracy in form, fit and function
•Looked after procurement of structural, piping material and tools
•Coordinated for the shop fabrication activities as required by the site and handled fabrication, erection & pre-commissioning activities
•Headed the construction team and prepared progress & inspection reports
•Responsible for material expedition as per the BOM and managed other structural & piping jobs
