Project Manager on a PMC team representing the client. The project included the development of high-end residential buildings, recreational buildings, hotels, service and support buildings, utility plants and all associated infrastructure.
- Lead the development of a customized Project Management solution on the SharePoint server which refined the day to day processes of the project team and served as a centralized data base for all project information.
- Attended client, PMC, and contractors’ meetings.
- Reported on the construction progress, schedule status, quality monitoring, identified risks, and feasibility of contractor plans to client and PMO team.
- Established communication methods and standard reporting and quality control procedures within the project team.
- Managed stakeholders and worked on maintaining an excellent relationship with all parties.
- Monitored changes from original scope and variation progress.
- Aided the project team in technical and commercial aspects of the project.
- Reviewed and analysed reports submitted by technical project consultant and contractors to validate it with actual conditions on the site.
Structural Engineer on the team responsible for providing the structural design. The project was to develop a new distribution center capable of supporting the expansion goals of the client.
- Meet with clients and subcontractors to confirm final design and material requirements per building and code requirements.
- Monitor quality of drawings, design calculations and manage junior members on the team.
- Coordinate with other disciplines, international design consultants on design requirements and progress.
- Perform design calculations and issue require plans using structural design software (Etabs, Safe)
Main tasks: project management, develop construction documents, research assistant, attend
meetings and coordinate with clients and jurisdictional agencies and manage sub-consultants.
* Trained and supervised a team of interns to guarantee the successful completion of projects.
* Worked as part of a team to compile and create the company standard details book.
* Responded to RFIs and assisted in providing solution for constructability or site issues.
* Developed plans for site control, grading & drainage, street improvements, and utilities
according to specifications.
* Ensured compliance with all project QA procedures and requirements.
* Prepared bid specifications and detail drawings.
* Worked on compiling WQMP, H&H and site assessment reports for projects.
* Worked on a variety of projects including: LAX, preschools, high schools, residential, street
improvements, correctional facilities, and mixed development.
Similar to my role as a project engineer except I worked with supervision of my project manager until I showed my ability to work independently and was promoted to project engineer
Assisted engineers in calculations and AutoCAD drafting and design
Worked as an Arabic cataloger translating and transliterating book data and information for old books and manuscripts into the Library of Congress Data Base.
