- Researching, planning, producing, and publishing new digital content for QM's digital outputs.
- Liaising with stakeholders and in-house team members to decide on new content requirements - English Senior Digital Editorial Specialist and the Digital Content Planning team.
- Proofreading and editing materials either produced by Digital Experience or supplied to Digital Experience for publication.
- Checking content for accuracy and/or liaising with content suppliers for fact-checking and approvals.
- Overseeing layouts (images, graphics, videos, and artwork) to ensure optimum content presentation within digital content management systems/templates.
- Collaborating with professionals (e.g., other editors, web designers, marketing, photographers/ videographers) to improve article presentation.
- Ensuring that the published content remains up to date across digital outputs.
Maintaining Arabic editorial guidelines, including SEO terms.
- Ensuring that the content complies with copyright and privacy regulations.
- Working within the team to develop a compelling and diverse rolling content calendar for QM's websites and other digital channels.
- Daily updating of various types of content (e.g., text, images, video, audio, etc.) on the host country's main website Qatar 2022 & four legacy microsites.
- Ensuring content is well written, complies with brand language guidelines, and is logically structured.
- Manipulating images and multimedia content for best online use.
- Carrying out search engine optimization (SEO).
Testing, scoping, and reporting on the website and CMS technical developments.
- Generating and maintaining up-to-date website statistics.
- Building, designing, segmenting & sending email campaigns using the Mailchimp marketing platform.
- Managing the SC's YouTube channel by adding videos and playlists and generating monthly statistics.
- Using the Crownpeak platform to build in personalization and testing tools, on-site tag and performance monitoring, content governance, and web accessibility.
- Proposing, generating, and creating ideas to further enrich Jeem & Baraem website content and build brand awareness.
- Ensuring content standards & formats are met.
- Ensuring that the websites' content is updated on a daily basis, captivating, and SEO-optimized.
- Evaluating content & conducting content quality assurance activities.
- Mastering the publishing process of digital content using Content Management System (CMS) and Brightcove Online Video Platform.
- Monitoring, managing & modifying content to increase the website traffic and generating its weekly reports using Google Analytics
- Overseeing all the necessary production activities from the very beginning to the end, to ensure a smooth production workflow.
- Reviewing scripts and setting plans for guests, reports, live coverage and broadcasting…etc.
- Organizing and conducting meetings with all the parties, necessary for the production process including the channel’s staff and key specialists in various areas of expertise.
- Ensuring that the production deadlines are met as scheduled on time.
- Adhering to Al Aan TV standards and abiding by its editorial policies to achieve a high level of quality production, and meet the channel’s objectives and values.
- Managing last-minute changes such as guests’ apologizing and instantly coming up with a backup plan.
- Working as a Live presenter and a Stand-up reporter for a daily show.
- Researching, writing, editing, proofreading and filing news stories, features and articles.
- Attending press launches, events, courts, council meetings, etc...
- Interviewing people by phone or in person.
- Responding to tip-offs, calls and news release.
- Liaising with editors, sub-editors, designers and photographers.
- Verifying statements and facts.
