• Responsible for the end-to-end sourcing process which includes supplier development & management, Contracts administration, service relationships for the organisation, including managing contractual services, service level agreements (SLAs), acting as a liaison between internal stakeholders and the supplier partnering and responsible for driving value across the contracts and supplier relationships including commercial contract compliance and performance

Managed total spend of $6 million per month for the purchase of various raw materials, components & services. Overall responsibility of the department including Sourcing, Ordering, Expediting, Supplier Management, Inventory Control & Management. Coordinated with Global sourcing for outsourcing components in low cost countries including China, Poland, Malaysia, India, Vietnam and visited local & India/Malaysia/Chinese suppliers for the same. Development of successful sourcing plans along with global sourcing of special steel & machining categories. Led the local procurement & team Member in global category management of Steel and Rubber products. Played a key role in creating new procurement policy & SOP and implemented the same in new manufacturing facility
• Identified potential supplier for categories like oil field steel bars & tubes, rubber items and created successful sourcing plan for the region
• Experience in managing material inventory of product line like Drilling & Workover, Casing Exits, Case Hose Completion, Liner Hanger, Cementing, Well Bore Cleaning and Fishing Items
• Sourced material from local and international sources including Oil field grade high yield strength NACE/H2S complaint steel, Alloy Steel Round Bars, SS round bars, Exotic grade steel, ASTM A53/A106 Gr B Pipes, API 5L Pipes, ASTM A333 CS Pipes, ASTM A312 SS Pipes, API 5CT L80/P110/P125/C90/T95/C110 Steel Pipes & Casings, Super Duplex Steel round bars/Pipes, Casting, Forging, Precision machined items, Fabrication items, Nonferrous steels, CNC Machines, Cranes, Metrology equipment’s, Generators, Compressors, PPE Items, Valves, Pumps, Testing flanges, Cross overs, Manifolds, Gaskets, Pressure Gauges, Exotic Grade Bolts & Nut, Elastomers, Plating, Heat Treatment, etc.,
• Negotiated Major Contracts:
o Saved $1M by local outsourcing $5M worth of material and thereby reducing 20% of input cost
o Saved $500Kin 2009 & 2010 by negotiating price agreements for MRO/PPE items etc.,
o Saved $1M in $8M contract for oilfield grade steel forgings in 2009 & 2010
o Saved $300K in $6M worth of price agreement in oilfield grade steel tubes/pipes in 2009
o Saved $250K in buying $2.5M of various CAPEX Items in 2011
Responsible for project procurement purchases including Sourcing, Sub Contracting, Expediting, material control and coordinating with QC Department. To obtain budgetary pricing and delivery schedule for subcontracts & major equipment, to develop project cost and schedule; maintained project procurement status reports including budget and delivery status.
