I am responsible for the following issues:-
* Direct and control facility accounting activities including general ledger, accounts payable,
salaries, fixed assets and the closure of the end of period/year and financial statements.
* Review chart of accounts and control the processes of addition, cancellation or updating
chart of accounts.
* Supervise accountants and perform periodical revision for the entries of general ledger for
ensuring the accuracy and the compliance with accounting laws and principles and that all
entries are supported with required documents.
* Supervise the conformity and revision of suppliers' bills and approve the settlement of their
payable amounts.
* Control and monitor the processes related to accounts receivable as well as calculate and
audit debts suspected to be collected or omitting them.
* Supervise the control and mentoring of the processes related to fixed assets including
amortization, inventory and transfer of assets.
* Control and approve the process of disbursing salaries for facility employees.
* Supervise the control, monitoring and approval of banking settlements, the control of
monetary movement, bank accounts movement, choosing commercial banks and estimating
their provided services, and obtaining banking facilities.
* Monitor and control the works of closing the end of period/year in accordance with the
financial and accounting policies for the facility.
* Supervise the preparation of monthly, quarterly, semi-annual and annual financial reports
and statements for the facility.
* Facilitate the activities of annual audit with internal and external auditors by providing
required information and illustrations, and ensure the accuracy and completeness of the
final audit for accounts.
* Provide accurate and comprehensive information for the director of financial management
about financial status for the facility.
* Suggest proper systems for internal surveillance in order to ensure the accuracy and
credibility of accounting records and financial statements.
* Specify the needs of direct subordinates including training, development and taking
required procedures for increasing the efficiency of department personnel.
* Provide direction and leadership for all department personnel in order to ensure the
effectiveness and efficiency of workflow and ensure that all personnel are familiar with
their main role in the department.
* Provide and discuss department directions and procedures with its personnel in order to
ensure and understand responsibilities and privileges.
* Evaluate the annual performance for direct subordinates, review the performance of
department personnel, ensure the achievement of department objectives, take disciplinary
proceedings when needed and propose amendments of salaries, rewards and promotions
pursuant to the employee's performance.
* Ensure the compliance of personnel with facility directions, policies and procedures.
* Ensure the effective performance of the department by choosing, developing and motivating
efficient personnel.
