Information:
▪ Owner: Public Works Authority (Infrastructure Affairs Road Section) Ashghal.
▪ Location: Doha City - Connecting Salwa Road and North Relief Road. Located in the North-West of Doha.
▪ Main Contractor : QDVC & Bin Omran Trading & Contracting JV
▪ Project Cost: 4.2 Billion QR.
▪ Project built up Length: Approximately 47 Km Length.
▪ Date: From May 2014 to Anticipated date 2017.
Project Description:
▪ Roads length 47 Km(Site installation and traffic diversions, Facilitate the installation of supply infrastructure by the various services authorities & Removal of Dumped Material)
▪ The New Orbital Highway Contract 2 stemmed from the intention to bypass Doha City by connecting Salwa Road and North Relief Road, thus relieving the existing traffic congestion expected to increase in the coming years.
▪ NOH2 consists of 10 lanes (5 in each direction) for light vehicles with additional Collectors/Distributor roads. Four separate dedicated truck lanes (2 in each direction) run parallel to the Orbital from Salwa Road to Junction 5 where a 320m long cut and cover tunnel splits away from the light vehicle carriageway towards Junction 12 Dukhan interchange.
Responsibilities:
▪ Following up execution of all site activities as per drawings.
▪ Leading construction team consists of Two Site Engineer, Seven Foreman, more than 150 labors, heavy equipment, trailer and 6 specialist subcontractors.
▪ Report directly to Construction Manager.
▪ Coordinate between subcontractors
