Key Deliverables:
Reporting to the Client Technical Services & Support Manager as individual contributor in projects for designing & configuring new sites, setting up hospital systems, clinics and laboratories.
Responsible for Implementation Planning Study and Technical delivery of Clinical Information Systems across the region.
Accountable also to function as a point of escalation for the support groups in projects and managed one of the most advanced and secured ICT infrastructure (Client) in the region.
Managing a broad range of proven and cutting edge technologies, in areas including object, web, relational, networking, storage, high availability, performance, and integration.
Responsible for contributing to a smart, cooperative, problem solving team in a fast paced environment so as to gain exposure to real world applications.
Involved in enhancing personal interaction, presentation and leadership skills working with developers around the world.
Implementing service support to Client in terms of Upgrade of their ICT infrastructure as well as ICT policies and procedure.
Regularly visiting client locations for collating & understanding their requirements.
Interacting with other areas of the company responsible for QA, Engineering, Education, and sales.
Achievement:
Successfully managed the upgrade project of Qatar Petroleum along with implementation ICT policies and procedures which was a great challenge knowing the complexity and limitation.
Key Deliverables:
Managed DR Data Centre, after deployment of servers to same as projects, thus leading to high quality service for other teams in the Production site.
Managed the operations in both Production and Disaster Recovery (DR) Sites, maintaining & update various Data Centre logs, configuring & performing backups and backup restorations.
Responsible to organize, schedule and perform equipment maintenance routines and operational tests besides maintaining inventory of incoming & outgoing equipments.
Involved in upgrade & restore File and Database (SQL) Servers through Tivoli Storage Manager (TSM), applying Patches (SQL Queries, Windows components) apart from initiating and resolving trouble tickets
Deployed, set up & upgrade of new servers (DELL, HP, IBM, SUN) with windows or Linux O.S. based on application environment requirements apart from initiating & monitoring installation & functionality of ATM and ATM cameras.
Supported focus on initiation & documentation of switch over rehearsals for various application and database systems from Production to DR, preparation of monthly & annual facilities reports.
Generated & maintained daily logs for identification of activities, tasks, alerts and issues in the data centre.
Achievements:
Successfully transferred 50+ servers from Abu Dhabi Production site to Ajman DR Data Centre in coordination with Quality Control Department, server owners and Network Department pertaining to Rack space, Power availability, downtime and new VPN creation.
Played key role in resolution of major issue of complete power shutdown in the DR server rooms and restoration of all servers and network devices to normal state besides coordinating with the assigned vendor.
Instrumental in transfer of 30+ physical servers to virtual machines through VMware using DELL blade servers and Storage.
