Kama Local Gourmet is a premium authentic universal brand dedicated to sourcing, packaging and promoting the finest of Jordanian - and ultimately Middle Eastern - specialty foods. Kama is committed to becoming the leading brand for specialty foods from Jordan, and ultimately, the Middle East. The company prides itself on supporting local delicacies, providing access to unique Middle Eastern flavors to a customer base of food lovers, curious travelers and global dreamers through Empowering Women in Rural Areas.
Piloted a USAID LENS Grant in testing the Micro Franchising. Through the support of the USAID Jordan Local Enterprise Support Project (LENS), Kama Local Gourmet developed a scalable supply-side micro-franchising system whereby all locally sourced items for Kama are supplied through a network of pre-approved micro-franchisees, who are trained, supplied with operating procedures and monitored through rigid quality assurance measures.
Kama signed micro-franchising agreements with eleven micro-franchisees from East-Amman (Al Mugablain), where all 11 women are qualified to produce Kama’s artisanal food products in Kama’s ISO & HACCP certified production kitchen.
