Preparation of operational manual - SOPs, LSOP, DMS, O & M Manuals, Planned Maintenance Programs, Budgets - Evaluation BOQs, HOS & E, FF & E, OS & E. - Lead department’s functions for the resort such as daily engineering operations for interior/exterior facilities including plumbing, refrigeration, heating/cooling, painting, carpentry, structural, recycling, electrical, ground care, vast landscape and parking areas. - Developed and implemented cost reduction, work simplification methods and techniques and improvement programs - Made work-schedules, orders, application, instruction, explanatory notes, drawings, maps, schemes other technical documentation, and reports by approved forms and terms. - Maintained requisitions/orders pertain to maintenance of equipment, materials and supplies. - Lead the execution of several new projects including planning and costing. - Lead fire and safety policies and procedure for the hotel, Carried out fire brigade duties as per requirement - Initiated energy and water conservation plans, as per Qatar Green Building Council (QGBC) - Inspect and review projects to monitor compliance with building and safety codes, and other regulations - Meet vendors and suppliers to discuss scope of, and products and materials used in, repair activities.
- Control observance of approved requirements and current norms, rules and standards. - Coach and counsel employees to reflect corporate service standards and procedures. - Continuously evaluate the performance of engineering staff and take corrective actions when necessary. - Maintain communications with Corporate team - Provide guidance and support to hotel staffs relating guest satisfaction scores (GSS) and Brand quality assurance (QA) inspections. - Lead Engineering team in addressing engineering-related issues that affect GSS or QA scores - Interviews and selects maintenance team. - Supervise health, safety and security procedures of the guests and staff. - Manage appropriate maintenance to ensure on-going appreciation of the engineering team and ensuring the control of heat, light and power, water consumption, wastewater discharge and boiler emissions and recommending current best methods for energy conservation and economical facility operations. - Supervise all relevant HSE & Quality Management System procedures and Work Instructions. - Plan & execute new/ modification improvement Projects. - Performs regularly scheduled inspections to direct and complete the work as outlined in the preventative maintenance program of all equipment. - Maintain file of all equipment repairs and vendors that have service equipment - Prepare and submit departmental Budget / Capex / Cost Control tracking reports. - Property Management, Maintenance Contracts (AMC), External Liaison.
