Supervision Engineer working for PACE as a Plumbing Fire Fighting Engineer

 Drawing Activities
• Study of Contract/Tender drawings and preparation of shop drawings.
• Providing technical support to draftsman while preparing shop drawings.
• Study of Fire Safety Zone and Plumbing system design.
• Conducting meeting with the main contractor to analyze the priority of shop drawings as per the project and client requirement.
• Coordination with different trades in preparation of composite drawings.
• Preparation of Pump room drawing by coordinating the equipments, foundations, FFD’s and Area drains.
• Preparation of Access Door drawings and as built drawings as per the site installation.

 Material Activities
• Materials take off from contract/tender drawings.
• Sending enquires to suppliers and receiving quotations for preparing of price comparison sheet to obtain management approval.
• Preparation and submission of Technical submittals, Material Data and Sample as per the specification and Tender drawings for approval
• Coordinating with supplier for Factory Test certificate, Country of Origin Certificate, Custom Clearance report and other documents required for MIR.
• Hydraulic Calculation of pumps.
• Keep a track of materials, tools and machinery requirement at site for erection.
• Coordination for inspection of Incoming Materials such as Pipe, Fittings, Pumps, Valves, Fire Cabinets like water heater, water hammer arrester, floor drain, floor cleanouts, pipe, elbow, tee, union, gate valve, globe valve and others as per the specified approved source, Manufacturer & country of origin.

 Site Activities
• Preparation of Method Statement for pipe storage and equipment erection work.
• Reviewing of shop drawings prior to installation to avoid any rework.
• Proper coordination with Electrical and HVAC services to avoid obstruction during erection of work.
• Monitor daily activities of foreman and technicians.
• Ensure site works are carried as per planned schedule.
• Following up site activities to ensure work being carried out in a proper way without any delays.
• Meeting the engineers of main contractor and work as per the prioritized area with causing any delays to other trades.
