In order to improve the tourism infrastructure of the state of Kuwait, the project was aimed to
establish a tourist facility and a multi-service commercial complex with a luxurious service
level.
The project consists of one high rise tower of 40 floors and a huge trading center.
As a contractor for the finishing works, my role was to run the project in a professional way by
using management techniques to ensure timely execution of project schedule according to
project plans and within applicable specifications and requirements and within the allocated
budget. I was responsible for engaging and interacting with project stakeholders i.e. Client,
Consultants, Authorities, Subcontractors and vendors, internal stakeholders, including planning
dept, procurement dept, HSE dept, accounts payable dep….etc.
Despite of receiving the project in two months delay from the original project plan, which was
one of the most challenging situation in the project, I was able to catchup and bring the project
to schedule base line, by challenging and collaborating with the client and assigned consultant
to approve the rejected shop drawings and proceed with execution implementing the reformed
project schedule without affecting the project budget.
Within this rule and through out the weekly meetings with the clients, consultants and internal
stakeholder I was able to maintain the project progress as per planned and within contractual
obligations.
Quality checks through installation process is very important to make sure that every phase in
the project is delivered without any defects or lack of quality.
In addition to the above, I was responsible for approving subcontractors submitted monthly
completion certificates within applicable quality standards and authorize payment as per
contracts agreed payment terms.
All these tasks are being monitored and controlled under my supervision in order to achieve
the best quality of the deliverables.
