b- Submarine line to Al Yafeena Island.

The project consists of the following:
-Construction of DI pipeline 900mm at Umm Al Nar
-Construction of Submarine HDPE pipeline to Al Yafeena Island, 500 dia. (OD) by open cut method.
-Construction of submarine HDPE branch to Al Barmiya Island, 355 dia. (OD)


c- Supply & Laying of D.I. Pipes to Different locations at East and West Liwa.

The project consists of the following:
-Supply and installation of 100km of DN150-400mm ductile iron networks through a scattered area (over 100km)
-180 house connections
-Tanker filling station
-13 time-actuated valves (to maintain pressure)
-Accommodation buildings for ADDC staff who operates existing pumping stations

d- Installation of interface and bulk water consumer metering points Stage 2

The project consists of the following:
-66 No. interface metering points including Electromagnetic flow meters, with remote readout, remote pressure transmitter, control valves and associated GRP kiosks
-29 Area metering points including Electromagnetic flow meters with remote readout with associated GRP kiosks with flow control valves
-110 bulk metering points including Electromagnetic flow meters with associated GRP kiosks
4- Solar power supply system with back up 24V DC battery or normal 230 VAC power supply system

e- Water Supply to Ghayathi And Hamra Militery Camp

-Water Supply from twin 1600 dia. Transco mains (fed from Shuwaihat desalination plant) through 29km 600 dia. DI PN 25 to Ghayathi and 2.5km 800 dia. DI PN25 to Takreer (refinery)
-2.5km 300 dia. DI to military reservoir
-New pump station at Bidaa Al Mutawa
-25km HDPE DN160 from Bidaa Al Mutawa P.S. to Umm Al Ashtan military camp

f- Water Supply to Al Wathba Prison Camel Race and Upgrading of Pumping Facilities at Salimyah and Ghanada

The scope of work comprises of the following:
-Al Wathba Prison Camel Race:Construction of a new water distribution network to supply the southern area of Al Wathba
-Al Khatim: Upgrading the existing water distribution system, and the refurbishment of the existing water storage tanks & pump station
-Salmiya:Construction of new pipelines to supply H.H. Sheikh Zayed farms
-Ghanada:Construction of a new water distribution system including new ground tank and pump station and distribution network.

Assistant Resident Engineer at Tebodin Consultants & Engineers

I worked as Assistant Resident Engineer supervising the mechanical installation and commissioning in Additions & Modifications At Unit IV, Shobaisi & Remah Pump Stations Project responsible for the following;

-Review, comment and approve Contractor's technical submittals and shop drawings.
-Review the program of work and monthly progress to ensure completion in time.
-Review contractor's monthly payments.
-Supervise the installation, testing and commissioning activities to ensure best quality and compliance with tender specification.

The project consists of the following:

a- UNIT IV

1.Remove existing pumps and install 5 No. fixed speed vertically mounted pump sets 1500 m³/hr at 15.5 bar each.
2.Installing DN1000 D.I. Suction & discharge headers for the pumps.
3.Installing D.I. suction and discharge branches including all fittings, valves, flow control valves, etc.
4.Installing new 1420m, DN1000 cement lined carbon steel pipeline including fittings, valves, flow meters, etc. from pump station and connected to existing to main line to Shobaisi pump station.
5.UT, MPI and Radiography of welded joints.
6.Hydrostatic test up to 25 bars for all pipelines.
7.Installation of anti surge system consisting of 3 No. 70 m³ new surge vessels, 2 air receivers and 2 compressors connected to the main line.
8.SCADA Control of the system.

b- Shobaisi & Remah

1.Replace 5 old pumps with new similar horizontal centrifugal pumps 950m³/hr at 15.0 bar.
2.Replace old discharge PN25 carbon steel pipes of the pumps with new discharge piping and manifolds.
3.Installation of anti surge system including 2 no. of 70m³ surge vessels, compressed air piping and DN800 C.S. pipeline connected to main line.
4.UT, MPI and radiography of welded joints for the C.S. pipeline of the surge vessels.
5.Hydrostatic test for same line.

Project Manager at Al Hamed Development & Construction

a) I worked in Construction, Completion & Maintenance of Water Supply Network For Air Force & Air Defense Institute Camp at Sheikh Zayed Military Cantonment project as a Project manager responsible for the following:

-Ensure best Planning of the project using Primavera and to assign the required resources, manpower, equipment and machinery to complete in time.
-Ensure proper design and shop drawings for the project.
-Price negotiation, orders' finalization and release orders to suppliers.
-Submitting Material submittals in accordance to tender specifications.
-Prepare monthly progress reports.
-Coordination with consultant and client.
-Supervising the erection, testing and commissioning of the project.

1-Construction main water supply network of the Camp including 50mm to 250mm UPVC piping, fittings, gate valves, altitude valves etc.
2-Laying 200mm GRE piping to existing Tanks.
3-Construction of Two Pumping Station which accommodated the following:
-Two variable speed pumps of 144 m³/hr capacity at 40 m head.
-Two variable speed pumps of 108 m³/hr capacity at 40 m head.
-Four variable speed pumps of 36 m³/hr capacity at 40 m head.
4-Supply and installation of PLC controller for the pumps.
5-Supply and installation of Two Pressure Vessels.
6-Hydrostatic testing for the network up to 8 bars.
7-Testing and Commissioning of the whole system

B)I worked in Buffer Tanks, Storage Tanks & Pumping stations at Ras Al Khaimah, Fujairah and Ajman project as senior project engineer responsible for the following:

-Tendering for various projects.
-Preparing & designing shop drawings for pump stations, surge system, chlorination, pipelines profile and sections using AutoCAD.
-Making take off material.
-Prepare the technical submittals.
-Planning of the project using Primavera under windows.
-Supervising the erection of the various system and pipes.

-Removal of existing pumps and replace them with 2500m³/hr capacities 314m head, 3500 Kw
-Removal of existing air compressors and aftercooler and replace them with new ones.
-Installation of 10MVA transformer.
-Hydrostatic testing for the piping at 30 bars.
-Penetration test for the welded joints.
-Pumps alignment.
-Calibration of control valves.
-Testing and commissioning for the system.

2) From 20th June, 1996 - 26th July, 1997

I worked in Abu Zeghan project as a mechanical engineer responsible for the erection & commissioning of the following:

-Erection of DN1400mm, 4Km steel pipeline
-Testing the line to 24 Bar
- Construction of DN1400mm suction & discharge headers.
-Construction of valve room including motorized butterfly valves & pressure reducing valves
-Calibration of the Pressure reducing valves.
- Erection of 6 sluice gates

3)From 13th February, 1995 - 19th June, 1996

I worked in Al Eshidya Jordan phosphate mine project as a mechanical supervisor engineer, responsible for the erection, testing & commissioning of the following:

-Collection of water from 21 bore wells in four collection headers and feeding to aeration tanks.
-Construction & assembly of two aeration tanks
-Storage of aerated water in well field reservoir of 12500 m³ capacity.
- Construction of two pumping stations:
Where the two pumping stations accommodated the following:
- Three high voltage pumps of 1375 m³/hr capacity at 94.5 m head.
- Two pumps of 835 m³/hr capacity at 35 m head.
- Two pumps of 730 m³/hr capacity at 15 m head.
- Two pumps of 140 m³/hr capacity at 25 m head.
- Four pumps of 35 m³/hr capacity at 25 m head.
-Construction of surge suppression vessels
-Construction of filtration system
-Construction of chlorine plant


4)From 13th February, 1993 - 12th February, 1995

I worked in National Park pumping station Project as a mechanical engineer, responsible of the erection & commissioning of the following:

- Construction of Pump House, which accommodated the following equipment:
- Four pumps of 600 m³/hr capacity at 200 m head, motor power 510kW.
- Two pumps of 300 m³/hr capacity at 200 m head, motor power 290kW.
- Carbon Steel piping, fittings & valves.
- Overhead crane of 10 Ton capacity.
-Testing the pipeline to 40 Bar.
-Construction of Diesel Generators plant which accommodated two Diesel Generators of 1000 KVA capacity each. Also included 15Ton Over Head Crane.
-Construction of chlorine building with all chlorine injection equipment like chlorine cylinders, chlorinators, water pumps, ejectors, chlorine residual analyzer and the safety equipment.
-Surge suppression vessels with the required air compressors and controls
-Construction of chambers for valves and flow meters of the different piping, which varies between 350 to 1000 mm sizes
- Calibration of control valves
-Planning of the project using Microsoft Project Software
