• Managing & supervising repairs / modifications/ conversions for ships & rigs repair.
• Plan, direct & coordinate engineering assignments to ensure that they meet objectives.
• Provide leading efforts to repair processes.
• Manage, share, prepare and participate in design reviews with internal stakeholders.
• Estimate all resources (Time, materials and man-hours) for each activity.
• Study and Collect of information from the drawings, manuals, classification society standards, ship survey and any available source to write the work procedures.
• Create project plan for all activities by using M.S Project or Primavera 6 programs.
• Make enough communications between all stakeholders to ensure the planning is carried out properly.
• Ensure that the records of all work done are maintained in accordance with the company’s quality system procedures.
• Monitoring and control all work activities on-board till delivery phase.
• Solicit and coordinate the work of local vendors.
• Prepare all the necessary work completion reports to purpose of invoice preparation.
• Write down all lessons learned for each activity and close the project report.
• Study the tender to Identify all stakeholders and create the project plan and budget,
• Leading project team, direct and manage activities (Steel, Piping, hull Outfitting, ...).
• Monitoring and control all Project activities through the Schedule, cost and quality to ensure it was completed on time and within allocated costs.
• Make strong communications channel’s with all stakeholders.
• Carry out all QC/QA works and financial analysis reports.
• Prepare all projects’ final reports.
• Adhere to Company Safety Standards and promote safety culture among the ranks throughout the Company.
• Manage the all steel (Hull & outfitting) works as per client required.
• Manage the level quarter’s activities (outfitting, piping, HVAC, interior design…)
• Study and Collect of information from the drawings, manuals, classification society standards, Rig survey and any available source to write the work procedures.
• Carry out all available information to make work schedule plan (Time and Resources).
• Supervised all activities to ensure completed on time and within allotted costs.
• Support project manager to manage and monitor project cost & schedule controls
• Carry out all QC/QA works and financial analysis activity
• Prepare project finally report and submit it to project manager.
* Manage of Painting and outfitting dept. (more than 50 technicians)
* Obtain knowledge of Painting and outfitting works
* Manage workshop resources and Manpower required for executing jobs.
* Monitor and controlled the work progresses
* Support the safety department in the implementation of all safety rules and policies.
* Coordinate with QA/QC engineers for approval of each work package for smooth
progress to the next stage.
* Supervise all on site activities to ensure completion on time and within allotted costs.
* Prepare all Doc. To close each activity
• Ensure implementation of and compliance to standard Project Management guidelines and procedures & business directives with respect to project planning and controls.
• Establish project CBS/WBS using (Company) standards.
• Develop resource and routinely update Project Schedules that cover all phases of project.
• Manage resources for the programs/ Projects and update as required.
• Establish progress measurement methodology for the project plans.
• Develop and maintain the current forecast.
• Take necessary actions for correct any conflict.
• Support project managers to manage and monitor project cost & schedule controls, resource requirement and their optimal utilization.
• Assist in the development of project execution plans.
• Ensure compliance with project execution plan and change management procedure.
• Analyze, monitor and comment on contractor’s schedules, resource plans, progress reports and claims and make recommendations.
• Prepare and distribute progresses reports and prepare the final closing reports.
Estimator:
• Study and estimate the WBS, time, resources in estimation sheet which help us to determine activities cost
• According to our marketing studies, determine the work activities which need to buy new the material to know the cost.
• Responsibility of preparation of reliable cost, time and labour estimates for ship repair & conversion.
• Analyze and interpret technical specifications, reference drawings, technical documents and regulatory regulations.
• Conduct ship inspection to determine the work scope.
• Review data to determine labours, material and subcontract requirements and prepare itemized estimates.
• Prepare quotations and work proposals.
• Consult with clients, vendors or other individuals to discuss and formulate estimates and resolve issues.
• Finally after quotation accept and work done we prepare the invoice according to completion reports and quotation price.
Ship / Rig Repair Manager:
• Managing & supervising repairs / modifications/ conversions for ships & Oil rigs repair, involve for modification and conversion work according classification societies’
• Receive the scope of work from the clients.
• Co-operates with the ship’s staff and superintendents in order to:
• Inspect and identify work on-board.
• Define priorities & monitor distribution of work force.
• Provide technical support for problems arising during working.
• Estimate time, materials and man-hours for each activity.
